Great wifi enabled switches for smart home
These switches work great! I use them either with the TAPO app or ALEXA. No problems with setup. There is even a hack allowing you to wire up without a neutral wire if for some reason you don’t have one (i.e. old wiring).

Works as expected
Installation was easy, and everything is working well so far. The only downside is the loud clicking sound. It integrates with Apple HomeKit, but itâs not as reliable as the Tapo app. Sometimes, it becomes unresponsive in the Home app, though it works fine in the Tapo app.Overall, itâs a solid device with just a few quirks! Hopefully, a future update improves stability in HomeKit.

Great to add smart functionality to a 4-way setup
Works great! Love Tapo devices. Integrates well with Google Home! If you have some electrical knowledge, itâs really easy to install. Like other Tapo devices, setup was easy. I used it in a 4-way setup. Just make sure you identify the line appropriately. Some dumb switches may have the load as the common, so when replacing, get your multimeter out to check!

I have used Zooz switches in the past for this application. I figured I would try this Tapo switch. It works great. Itâs great to be able to wire a smart switch into a multi switch circuit. I actually have four switches on the circuit. I figured that the wiring still work. It did. Having a non contact voltmeter was a real help.

Great quality switch and great app to go with it
I’ve been pleasantly surprised with these smart switches, particularly because the app is so good. So often the apps to things like this seem like an afterthought, but this is really great, stable and easy to use. The setup of each switch is pretty intuitive and the app kinda walks you through it to and will even give you a notification if the wiring isn’t correct. The app is really quick and responsive and easy to get around to all your devices to make changes. I actually got the doorbell, door lock and multiple dimmers in the house and they all connect great to the Tapo app but all to Alexa home hub.

Note: only ONE smart switch needed per circuit
Switch works great, installed using Matter to connect with Google Home.Note that unlike some other smart switches, this uses only ONE smart switch per circuit, the other 3 way switch (and 4 way switch(es), if using) should be regular dumb switches.This also means:- You can only install this switch at the load or line end of the circuit, not the middle — so you may be limited in which switch gets replaced with this smart one- You only need a neutral wire in the one box you’re installing this switch in. (This finally let me install a smart switch for my 4-way hall light, which doesn’t have neutrals in 2 of the 4 boxes.)- You can use a dumb 3 way dimmer at the other end, although that will be manual control only (worked perfectly for me, as the hall lights are too bright and so I keep them at 50% brightness all the time )Finally, note that the Tapo 3-way dimmer switch (TS515D) does NOT work this way – it only works for 3-way (not 4-way) and you need to replace BOTH switches.

Works as intended but blinks and generates random ON/OFF messages
I am using this switch with Home Assistant and it was easy to install, came online with no problems and operates as intended. However, the LED on the switch periodically blinks and, when this occurs, ON/OFF message pairs are being sent to the HA log. The controlled light does not actually blink. I have contacted TP-Link and they have provided updated firmware that reduces but does not eliminate these messages. Hopefully they can resolve it and I can update this review.
