Absolutely love this truck back seat extender! I have a large dog (over 100 lbs) and drive a RAM 1500 — this fits perfectly across the back seat and gives my dog a secure, flat space to stretch out during rides. The hard bottom is extremely sturdy and easily supports his weight without sagging — it really does hold up as advertised.The waterproof material is a lifesaver for muddy paws, and the door protection panels are a great touch to keep the interior clean and scratch-free. It was easy to install, stays in place even on bumpy roads, and folds up when I need the back seat for passengers.If you travel with large dogs in a full-size pickup, this is hands down one of the best investments you can make. Durable, smart design, and clearly made with pets (and their humans) in mind. Highly recommend!

Good Item
Just received but looks great in my F250. The headrests covers are a little too close together and pulls a little. The extention boards seem to be slightly too short for the seat but works. Directions aren’t the best but installation was easy to figure to figure out. The material seems to hold up to my 140 pound Labradane but time will tell. Overall, not a bad purchase and would by again depending on longevity.

Not designed for large dogs. Definitely not designed for advertised weight.
This was installed in a 2016 Ford F-150. I was going to give this maaaaaybe 2 stars because its main flaw was seen in under 2 days. But outside of my main complaint with this product, I believe I could make it a bit better with some tinkering. But, I do think you shouldn’t have to tinker or build something to make this work – it should just work as advertised, so take my review with a grain of salt. So, I bumped it up to 3 stars in hopes I can make this work. With only a couple days using this you can see from the pictures, this is really only designed for medium to small sized dogs. I have a 88-89lb lab mix. And with the advertised claim should easily be able to handle him all by himself. It does not. The extension piece (platform) droops down farther than expected. I saw pictures other people posted and thought the minor droop was acceptable. This not only drooped down farther than expected, it also started bending. So, now there is a curved bend in it, as you can see from the photos. It’s more like a hammock now in the section closest to the front seat, which it what I was trying to avoid. The front sections that buckle around the front headrests are as high and tight as I can get them without causing the buckles to break (cheap thin plastic). You can see the center mesh is nice and tight. He struggles to get comfortable in our car rides most likely because of the droop and hammock feel – constantly changing position as we drive around. This could also be due to the slight slippery surface and him not being able to claw in a little for grip and traction as my truck moves. We may try a blanket on top of the surface. As for the bend and droop – I plan on either building an under-support frame out of some plywood and/or replacing the inside flexible material with some thin wood.Here are some stuff I do like about it and why I chose to risk buying this particular design (of the many on amazon):I liked the door panel protector design, instead of something tied or tethered to my ceiling hanger hooks. It’s simple, easy to install, easy to remove and appears to be effective. I like the center mesh as well. Our dog sometimes like leaning right up against it. The material seems pretty durable and water resistant, if not waterproof. I was able to wipe up doggy drool and water easily. And I like the rear headrest protector and mount design. The optional openings to access seat belt buckles underneath. There are some good things going on with this, but I think it could use some design upgrades/changes. In addition to a remedy for the major flaw I listed above – I think it could be redesigned to accommodate at least one rear seat passenger. Even with my almost 90lb dog, he doesn’t need the entire back seat of my truck. There is tons of room in the back and should allow another human passenger. With the 60/40 rear bench – I wish they made it so the 40 split side can fold up or even better, allow the forward section on the 40 split side to be zipped down allowing the rear passenger’s feet to touch the floor, to essentially sit right next to the pup on this while also being able to buckle in as normal.With things as they are on here, everything is over promised and features/capabilities are exaggerated I think with the right design enhancements it could be much better and would gladly pay a bit more for it. Will update after some more time with it.

Poorly designed
This my second dog hammock. This one was advertised as having some good features, but they poor design and functionality erases any good features. The side door protectors look good in the video but try to get the metal strips down inside your window without doing great damage to the operation of the window is impossible. The worst part is the wood panels the dog rests on. There are three panels across, BUT the panel does not extend across to the other side to touch the rear of the front seat. My dog will fall through the bottom and almost touch the floor. This is utterly one of the worst engineered dog carriers I have seen. Steer clear of this worthless dog carrier.
