I’m very fond of plants, indoor and out. I have an average amount of indoor plants, abt 8 in the warm months which expands to 12 when the temps drop outside. When we recently rescued a very sweet cat that had a rough life before he came to us, he’d spent most of his life in a car. He thoroughly enjoyed being in our home and having so much room to explore. The one thing we didn’t think about is how the plants would fare. Our other 2 cats never paid any attention to them, but to the new guy, they morphed into a 24/7 all-you-can-eat Salad Bar! Uh-Oh! We tried the water filled spray bottle deterrent. That only worked when we caught him in the act. Any other time, he grazed like a cow just let out onto new Spring pasture. My glorious plants, many of which I’d started from cuttings, were beginning to look awful. Also, a couple of them were supposed to be distasteful to mamals. It didn’t matter, he munched every chance he got. They were positioned on a fairly sturdy plant shelf near a bright window, others on end tables. It didn’t matter, he’d get to them all. Well, something had to change! I know he wasn’t going back, as adoption is a lifetime commitment, so the plants had to move.Anyplace that was too high for him to reach just didn’t get adequate light. That’s when I saw these floating shelves. They looked like just the solution.I’m very impressed that they are solid wood, not particleboard. They included everything needed for assembly, including the hex tool. I already have a drill, so no problem w/installation. I really appreciate the included diagrams showing different ways to hang these. I chose the staggered, using one end as a bookend. They’re very sturdy & well made. They also look good. I’ve seen other hanging shelves & they looked cheap, like college dorm decorating. Not these, the craftsmanship is impressive.I was able to hang these high enough on the walls near my windows that “Salad lover” couldn’t jump up and get to them yet they’d still receive ample light. I did have to put my 2 spider plants in hanging baskets, which needed to be done any way. Now, my plants are happy & recuperating, I’m happy and the salad bar is closed. Since he liked greens so much, we tried leaving some mixed salad greens on a plate for him. He sniffed them but never touched them. I guess he only like the forbidden stuff.Highly recommend these great looking shelves.

Quality wooden floating shelves that actually hold stuff
These are real wooden shelves…as in they aren’t fake MDF with plastic veneer. These are the real thing!For your money, you get four shelves in the box, so you can split them across rooms or make a nice tiered layout on one wall. The finish is nice and smooth, the stain even. I feel like they have a nice modern/classic look to them. I especially appreciated the width: these shelves can hold actual books, DVDs, and other items without them hanging off the edge. For example, I have a fairly large collection of various A Game of Thrones books. In spite of being fairly lage/bulky, they al fit nicely.Compared to some of the cheaper floating shelves Iâve bought at Home Depot or Walmart (which are narrow, white, and basically decorative-only), these are actually useful.It’s also worth noting that the installation guide is actually good. It includes a cool little screw-hole spacing bar you can tape to the wall after leveling. If youâve ever installed shelves before, you know how much of a pain it can be to get things perfectly aligned. This little detail makes the process much smoother.These are some really great real-wood shelves that don’t have you spending a fortune. Theyâre versatile, well-made, and a nice step up from most of the cheap alternatives.

They are very strong and sturdy, they have never fallen.The instructions are easy to understand, and they are easy to hang up. I wanted to love the shells but I just cannot possibly they were extremely difficult to mount onto the wall despite having a grid that came with the shelves the hole still not line up and I don’t like the fact that it comes with silver polished screws versus black it makes them look not as elegant I’m on the fence about recommending them honestly see my photos for reference and make your own determination..

Beautiful and high quality
I love these shelves so much! I really feel like they have made my bathroom look so beautiful. When I am walking down the hallway, I actually stop to just stair and admire my shelves.They are sturdy and high quality. They are heavy, so (per my husband who is a contractor), you may want to get some more substantial wall anchors when you hang them. However, I used the wall anchors provided and they have stayed strongly in place for over a month now.I would say they were easy-medium to install. I did it myself. If you have never hung shelves or photos or anything before, you may have a harder time. But if you have practice with using a drill, drilling pilot holes, inserting anchors, and screwing screws into the anchors, you’ll do just fine.
