Excellent video doorbell
This video doorbell has exceeded my expectations! The ultra-wide angle lens provides a full-body view, motion detection is accurate. The night vision works great and I like having the choice of both micro SD and cloud storage. Setup was quick, and the app is very user-friendly and reliable for live viewing or playback. A great value for peace of mind and home security. Highly recommend!

Great value video doorbell
I waited 30 days to review this so I could be certain what is included in the free trial and what is not. This video doorbell has good night vision video and excellent daytime video. Once you pass the initial 30 day free trial, you will have online access to recordings for 24 hrs (they should also be saved on the internal storage card), and unlimited “live” watching/recording through the app. Recording seems to get triggered when the doorbell is rung and when motion is detected. You can also speak through the doorbell at any time (either live feed or doorbell) by holding the microphone button in the app. With the paid version you can change your voice–wonderful if you’re home alone when someone unexpected calls and you want to sound like a big brawny person. I’ve only had to charge the doorbell once in 30 days, which is certainly more often than I charge my hard-wired doorbell (har, har), but I think it’s a fairly long life for something recording video daily. You must ensure you have Wi-Fi outside your house wherever you want to locate this. If your phone won’t connect, neither will this doorbell. Lag is minimal, and overall I’m very pleased to have the capability to speak/see through the doorbell at any time, and have recordings should I need them. The doorbell lights up blue when motion is detected, so someone would know that they were “spotted” and very likely being recorded. In the dark this would be very obvious. App takes some figuring out but becomes straightforward with use. It has everything I need at minimal cost, which to me is a great value!

Could be better
Video Doorbell Camera Wireless, Ultra-Wide Angle Lens for Full-Body View, AI Motion Detection, 2-Way Talk, Night Vision, Micro SD and Cloud Storage/Battery Powered, 2.4G Wi-FiI want to be able to give this more stars, but I really struggled with it and still can’t get the notifications to work very well. The instructions are not written well to begin with and then the english is awful, so it made it even worse. I pretty much just did the next step in the picture when something wouldn’t work and that usually fixed the problem. The picture quality is pretty clear but with only 2G WiFi it is a little jumpy. The audio lags very badly and has a metallic sound to it.Every time you open the app to look at the camera it pops up an ad for a free trial and then another when you go onto the live camera so if you are trying to answer or speak to someone before they leave you might miss them. The biggest problem I am having is that I cannot get any notifications at all so I can’t use it to answer the doorbell. I have put in a request for help, but I have not received a reply as of yet.

Why this smart doorbell might frustrate you…
ð Overviewâ¨The Video Doorbell Camera Wireless offers an impressively wide-angle, full-body view of your front door area, enhanced by AI-powered motion detection that smartly distinguishes between people, packages, and pets. With 1080p HD resolution, crystal-clear night vision, two-way audio, and flexible storage options (microSD and optional cloud), it’s a compelling pick for smart home beginners and tech enthusiasts alike. However, despite its many strong features, long-term issues with battery life and Wi-Fi connectivity stability slightly dim the shine of this otherwise solid product.â¤ï¸ Pros⢠Ultra-wide, full-body field of view eliminates blind spots⢠AI Motion Detection reduces false alerts (e.g., waving trees, passing cars)⢠Clear 1080p HD video with solid night vision performance⢠Two-way audio allows live communication with visitors⢠Battery-powered installation is wire-free and beginner-friendly⢠Includes 32GB microSD card (rare at this price point)ð Cons⢠Battery life degrades over time, requiring more frequent recharges⢠Connectivity drops occasionally over 2.4GHz Wi-Fi⢠No 5GHz Wi-Fi support⢠Cloud storage requires a paid subscription after free trial⢠Slight lag in live view during busy network periodsð Features and Performanceâ¨This doorbell camera delivers on most of its promises. The 160°+ ultra-wide lens provides a head-to-toe view of visitorsâespecially useful for package detection. AI motion alerts are accurate and reduce the nuisance of false notifications. Audio clarity in the two-way talk system is generally solid, and IR night vision keeps detail surprisingly sharp in low light. However, while the initial performance is excellent, battery efficiency noticeably worsens over several months of use. Combined with the occasional Wi-Fi hiccups, these concerns impact long-term reliability. Still, itâs highly capable out of the box.âï¸ Comparison to Similar Productsâ¨Compared to the Ring Video Doorbell (Battery) or Eufy Security Doorbell, this model stands out with its AI motion detection granularity and the inclusion of local microSD storage, which some competitors lack. However, Ring’s ecosystem is more mature with better app support and more consistent Wi-Fi performance. Eufy offers longer battery life, but charges extra for onboard storage options. This doorbell camera sits in a sweet spot for value, but premium users may prefer more established brands.â Final Rating: 4/5 Starsâ¨â â â â âThe product delivers strong smart features, great video quality, and an ultra-wide lens that really enhances porch security. However, long-term battery and connectivity concerns justify a 1-star deduction, especially for users in high-traffic or low-signal environments.

Whilst not having all of the features and clarity of high end models this is still a very good option for somebody not wanting to spend a fortune.Setup was very simple with everything connecting just as it should with no problems at all.Once setup I found the camera to be surprisingly good. The clarity of the image is pretty good – you can see everything that’s going on outside with decent enough quality. There doesn’t seem to be any picture quality problems such as distortion etc. It works exactly as you would imagine. The field of view is also very good, mainly vertically.A 32GB memory card is included so you don’t have to worry about any extra expense in that regard. Cloud storage services are available but a monthly fee is required for that. 32GB is fine for most use cases though I believe. The app works quite nicely and allows you to speak to whomever it at the door whenever you get the notification.Overall I am quite pleased with this doorbell camera. Especially considering the price.

I recently installed this wireless video doorbell, and for the price, it’s a decent piece of kit. The quality feels good and the size is perfect for my use ânot too bulky on the wall, and Installation was a breeze. I really appreciate that it comes with a chime and a 32GB SD card, which are thoughtful additions that save you from having to buy them separately. The ultra-wide angle lens is a huge plus; it gives a full-body view, which is great for seeing packages left on the doorstep. The two-way talk feature works well, and the AI motion detection is fairly reliable. I have noticed some video lag, but that seems to be a common issue with many brands. The biggest factor for me is that it’s battery-powered, which means you have to remove it to charge it. Depending on how much traffic you get, this can be a bit of a hassle. It’s important to know that to view recordings on the SD card, you also have to physically remove the device, unless you pay for a cloud subscription. Since it’s from a China-based company, I’m being very careful about using their cloud service and reading the terms and conditions closely. This is a point to consider as well as the proprietary software, whose longevity and security are unknown.Iâm now going to use it for the garden so donât need to charge it often (as less motion) or view the recording unless something happensOverall, it’s a good value for the price, but be mindful of these trade-offs before you buy.

This video doorbell arrived in a sturdy cardboard box which includes the doorbell itself, a plastic mount, large sticky pad (for DIY free mounting, screws are also provided), the plug in bell unit for inside and a charging cable. It operates via an app and needs to be paired via a QR code on the unit. This was straightforward and the bell was easily picked up by my WiFi network. The picture quality is pretty good and it includes a memory card, so you can operate it without any form of subscription. The only downside is that it’s a large unit and too big for my doorframe, so I’ll need to find an alternative mounting solution. At £41.96, at time of review, I think it’s good value for a basic video doorbell.

This was quick and easy to set up and install, instructions are provided on how to do this if you’re not tech savvy. Easy to understand.Image and video quality on this is really good, I like the wider view, its quite handy to get a fuller picture. Audio is great, no issues there. It does come with a MicroSD card which is a bonus as I usually have to run around the house trying to find a spare one for gadgets like this. Two way audio is super useful for deliveries and such, when you need to speak with them or when it’s getting darker in the earlier hours in the winter months. It’s nice to be able to see and speak to whoever is at your door. Also comes in handy when teenagers don’t take their keys with them and find the door locked when they get home. :-)I’m yet to need a battery recharge so the life on them is extremely good, better than I was expecting from this. This is a big plus from me as my previous video doorbell cam was a big battery drain!I absolutely love this bit of kit, super handy and gives some extra sense of security around who’s hanging around the house.
