Great potential but falls short
This is a case where if you just listen to the advice of other negative reviewers you will save yourself some trouble. My son was super excited about the potential for this gift but as others have said the Switch games are only mediocre with VR technology. My 8-year-old was pretty disappointed about the visuals. We own three games with VR capability but none of them look very good through the viewer and the VR capability is pretty limited in the games. In reality it is Nintendo that deserves the low rating not necessarily the VR headset. We also tried putting a phone in to watch VR videos on YouTube. That seems to work okay as well but you exhaust the fun of all of these pretty quickly. So unless you want a disposable gift I would keep looking. The product is sturdy however and the size adjustments for the head are great for the different people in our family that used this.

Bought this for my average size 8 year old. Unable to adjust the eye pieces to be able to see without being cross-eyed. Returned.

My 9 year old wanted a VR headset but we weren’t sure if we wanted to splurge on the big brand. Glad we didn’t. These are very nice! Great quality and very affordable.

Great for what it can do!
I bought this VR Headset for Nintendo Switch for my son’s birthday. Unfortunately, there aren’t many games on the Switch that are VR compatible but he is absolutely loving playing Super Mario Odyssey on this VR set. He said it gives him such a fun way to look around and interact in the game. For the price, it’s totally worth it. I wish Nintendo would come up with more VR compatible games but until then, this is a great little item! Definitely recommend!
