Great for small play areas!
This is a great matt for places that don’t have a lot of room. The knobs that stick out help your feet know where you are in space. If you don’t feel the knob in the center, then you’ve drifted off and will probably be hitting something soon! There is also an off center knob that helps you know where the front is. this way you can feel for that knob to know what direction forward is. And the matt is raised. This allows you to know when you are getting to the edge of the matt and again, will be hitting stuff. This matt has a good amount of stiffness to feel solid, and softness to be comfortable on your feet.Great addition to your VR supplies.

I have a space in my home for workouts that is also my Home Theater. I’m always afraid I will be doing a VR workout and get too close to my furniture and WHACK one of my statues. I decided to pick up a VR Mat to prevent this from happening.I selected the ProxiMat because of good reviews I have read. It arrived super quick and in good condition. It was rolled up pretty tight but you can see it has flattened out pretty quick in under 30 minutes.I measured out everything beforehand and picked the 42″ size. It allows me to duck, weave, bob and side step and still remain on the mat.I wear boxing shoes to get ankle support and I can still feel the texture of the mat as I’m punching out the lights of an AI character.In Summary: A good size mat with good thickness and texture. The little carpet anti-slip discs for the bottom are a nice touch. Rating: 8/10

It works !
Does what itâs supposed to do â helps you not wander around as much in VR. Saves your knuckles (no more hitting the wall, lol). Sturdy & well made. Has a premium feel, itâs about 3/8â thick with a textured but somewhat glossy/ smooth surface. The bottom is a more grippy rubber texture to reduce migrating on the carpet. The foam is firm & springy, feels good to stand on. This would be a *huge improvement* for someone gaming on a hard floor. The printed design is cool, seems it should last a while.The middle âfoot buttonâ is easy to find in game to center yourself, but if it were any thicker it could tweak peopleâs ankles a little bit. The outer button doesnât do much. (I think it could help people a little bit if theyâre trying to keep facing one direction).The mat is a little heavy (around 8 lbs) so not the easiest thing to move around, but that speaks to the thickness & quality. You can easily roll & lean it against the wall or store in an empty corner. When deployed itâs not exactly âin the way,â since anyone can walk on it. But I would suggest not using tennis shoes on it if you want to preserve the design longer.I know it seems silly to get this but if youâre really into VR – especially intense/ shooter games – just try it 😉

Great for fitness VR
I’ve been using this as I use VR Fitness games to make sure I feel that I am staying in place and safe. It lays flat and is sturdy. I do wish there was a larger size so I can lunge a little further, but this is larger than most mats and works well.

Must have for active gaming
I often find myself hitting walls with a controller while playing action games and this mat solves the issue completely. Despite having a virtual boundary, it is not enough to fully fix this problem. It is also very pleasant to step, stand and orient yourself on it, easy to clean.

I’ve been in the VR space since the Oculus Development Kit 2. And I don’t know why I’ve never tried a mat like this over the years. It just makes so much sense.It stays STUCK to the floor and doesn’t slide at all, but if you need it move it out of the way you lift up and can move it so easy.It’s foam is good for not making your feet hurt as it acts as a ant fatigue mat + the markers are super useful.I don’t have the most space but with this I never read about hitting something

This mat is perfect for any sized room. I am a big fan of the Supernatural workout app and I workout in a mid sized room. This keeps me from destroying things in the room. You always know where you are by the indicators in the mat. Great purchase.

I was looking for some cool VR accessories for one of my kids for Christmas and came across this mat. The specs seemed to indicate that this provided some added functionality by connecting to the VR (specs say that it comes with USB C connections and cables), and the description also seemed to confirm that this enhanced gameplay. Well, when my son opened it I realized that there is no connectivity – itâs literally just a foam mat. It does function to keep him from leaving his boundary and feels better on the feet, but there are no UsB connections or cables. Itâs a $160 PIECE. OF. FOAM. Could have rigged the same thing up with two $10 exercise mats from Walmart.

He estado usando esto durante unos meses mientras hacÃa ejercicio con “Supernatural”. La forma circular me resulta muy útil para saber siempre dónde estoy. Está bien hecho. Fácil de limpiar. La única razón por la que no le doy 5 estrellas es porque es demasiado caro y deberÃa ser más grande teniendo en cuenta lo mucho que cuesta.
