    Works great
I love this thing! I’m only 5 ft and 118lb and I love using this. I can swing it back and forth and cut grass, small shrubbery, and weeds! It is simple to put together and very durable. The blades are very sharp on both sides. It is easy to grip with the foam handle, however, my grip came off rather quickly, but I was using it a lot. Simple to glue back on.

Decent tool but needs longer handle.
This grass cutter is stirdy, it’s easy to assemble, it does cut stuff. One issue that needs improvement is a very short handle, it can be used as is but limits your movement options and makes you bend. Just like some other people who purchased it, I had to insert a wooden handle between two metal parts, which made life much easier. I still recommend this tool because improving it is easy and it doesn’t have other major issues.

Buy this one! (or the full handled version)
**It is pre sharpened and painted after!**That means you can use it out of the box without exposing the metal and risking rust!**most you need to sharpen yourself** before you can handle any real jobIt’s a bit heavier than the wooden handled but not by much. The handle joint has some wiggle but is strong. I would have preferred a full length handle or a second bolt for stability but I view that as just a preference. It can easily handle stalky weeds more than a 1/2 inch thick to over an inch thick with some gusto. It will not cut saplings or short grass, but it’s not meant to.Assembly would be very annoying with the wrench provided but at least it’s there and a socket set makes assembly easy.

    Not quite what you’d expect
It is very sturdy for the price you pay however it does not come with any instructions and I almost feel as if some of the pieces did not align quite right and I have to maneuver them quite a bit to get everything together. The design of the product itself works great but the handle is short. I am 5’4″ and felt like I had to bend over to use it. It cuts OK despite the blades being sharp. If you have weeds that are thinner, another product might be better. For the tall and thicker weeds, it did work relatively well.

    Handle is way too short!
This grass cutter has only a 30″ handle. Im 5″ and thought it might work for me but I have to bend over in order to get the angle right to cut grass. I needed to grasp below the rubber handle and could feel carpet tunnel starting to set in. I felt my back twinge and decided this product is not right for me. The blade works well but it’s useless if the handle isnt long enough

Better than the hickory handled whip I own. Very sharp. Cuts like butter.
This whip comes disassembled and there are instructions rolled up in an advertisement for their other products. There are square holes in the metal that correspond to square portions on the bolts included. The tools you need to assemble this are included, but a proper box wrench and allen key would be easier to use than the cheap ones in the box.First, the blade is sharp and when I say sharp I mean sharp enough to hurt you if you don’t exercise caution handling it. I recommend using gloves to assemble this product. It took about six minutes to assemble with the included tools. The blade doesn’t state which side is up, but the top is the side with the serrations. This whip is heavier and sturdier than the hickory handled whip I own. The proper way to use a whip is to slightly bend at the knees and keep your back straight while swinging with objective of the blade swinging parallel to the ground. I am six-foot-four and was able to swing this with one hand, but the weight caused me to shift hands and for thicker grass I used two hands. The key is to let the whipping action and the weight of the whip do most of the work, this is not a bat and the grass a baseball. Gravity and the weight of the whip and sharp blade will do the work for you.I was able to cut a huge swarth in an overgrown lot in a little under an hour. This thing cut through grass, dandelions, weeds, and small pencil sized branched with little effort. I highly recommend this item, but be warned you will get a workout using it.

    A Good Weed Whacker
This is a pretty good weed whacker. I would say it cut most of the weeds in the back yard and its worth the money. It is quick to assemble and handy to have around when there are tall weed patches. However, I don’t think it takes the place of mowing. It can cut tall grass, but to do that in the whole yard would be a tiresome project, and it can’t cut the corners of the yard because you can’t swing it there. I also used it on some really tall and tough weeds half my height with thick stalks that I was unable to uproot by hand, and it cut them right down. I swung it like a golf club, or sometimes one-handed like a pendulum as I walked through the yard. I think the handle is the right length because if it were any longer it would be awkward and difficult to swing (and I’m 6 feet tall). The only issue with it is the gripper tends to slide off the handle after several swings, but I just push it back on. Be careful putting it together because the blade can cut you. An Allen wrench is included, and so is a small super thin wrench, but I did not find that very useful. Anyway, it definitely works. It was even kind of fun, but the next day I had a sore shoulder from using it.

    Shorted on hardware
Works fine, though you have to assemble it, and the big knob right in the middle of the handle is not ergonomic. I checked and tore apart the entire box looking but there was a hole in the bag of hardware they included and I was missing one of three bolts you need to assemble the handle. Had to go and hunt down a replacement at the hardware store, which was no small feat because it’s a metric sized bolt, because of course it would be. Not enough of a hassle to be worth returning for a replacement, and I’m on a time crunch for yard work this week anyway, but the extra $2.50 and time wasted annoyed me.

This tool is extremely useful in cutting weeds. At first when I opened the box, I thought something is missing. I would highly advised to read the instructions in assembling the product. It will make sense. This tool is very sturdy and practical for its price. It works effectively. It cuts the poison ivy surrounding my backyard. Saves so much of time and my back. I’m 5 foot and perfect for my height. This tool is a bit short. If you want it higher, you could probably buy extra bar, screw and the lock to connect with it. Highly recommend.

It is not sharp at all, have to repeat again and again and again! I tried both side of the blade ! Very hard to use, waste of money really!

This works great for the areas I can’t get at with a ride-on lawnmower. Others mentioned that the handle is quite short – it is. However, I got a grass trimmer handle attachment and it allows me to stand up straight.

The Walensee Weed Grass Cutter is impressively sharp and surprisingly lightweight. It made quick work of the overgrown areas in my yard — slicing through tall grass, weeds, and even tumbleweed with ease. It’s the perfect tool for clearing out dense overgrowth before mowing or using a weed trimmer for more detailed work. This tool really shines in situations where you’re dealing with a neglected yard or thick brush. While a gas-powered trimmer might also get the job done, not everyone owns one — and this cutter is a budget-friendly, manual alternative that doesn’t require fuel or maintenance. That said, be very careful when using it — the blade is incredibly sharp and could be dangerous if swung carelessly. It’s definitely not an everyday garden tool, but for the right job, it’s highly effective. This is the kind of tool that’s great to share among neighbors or keep around if you’re in landscaping or yard cleanup work. Not sure it’s a must-have for everyone, but if you need to reclaim an overgrown space quickly and efficiently, this is a solid addition to your tool collection.

This is a heavy tool so ladies, don’t be fooled. It takes some strength to swing it effectively in tall grass. Most men, and fit women would find it helpful for hacking weeds, but be prepared for a workout!
