The Canvas stereo is a Direct Box/Line Isolator designed to remove any resistance between you and your audience by giving a pristine sonic foundation to build your masterpiece upon. From houses of worship to the dive bar downtown, Canvas Stereo is built to be the performance tool that goes wherever you are making your music. Canvas Stereo is a Passive Line Isolator (LI) and Direct Injection (DI) device that converts your unbalanced signals into balanced signals for interfacing properly with your recording interface or mixer at front-of-house. If you’re using an amp-in-a-box (DSP Guitar Rig), like our ACS1, keyboards, or any other instrument utilizing both left and right outputs, then the Canvas Stereo is your new bridge to the front-of-house. The Canvas Series DIs pack everything you need from a DI/LI into a standard pedal-sized enclosure designed to look great right on top of your board.
Flat frequency response from 20Hz-20kHz
Converts ¼” unbalanced input to XLR balanced output
Transformer isolated output
When disengaged (out), the left input connects to the left thru. The right input connects to the right thru allowing the use of stereo amplifiers
When engaged (in), Sum connects the left and right thru jacks together to combine the signals for running into a single amplifier (use either thru jack)

Perfect DI for Strymon Iridium or Similar
Had my eye on this guy for years and I wish I had purchased it sooner. It’s a great and flexible DI, but the LI/DI button is what makes it the most useful DI I’ve ever used. A traditional DI was dropping the signal from my Strymon Iridium (or any other similar device), but by pressing the LI button, the level is exactly maintained. Works great as a regular DI, but if you need a DI for an amp modeler or stomp box, this is definitely the unit you want.

Didn’t know I needed it….
I didn’t know I needed this….using my Strymon Iridium to go straight to the board via regular quarter inch jack seemed to be just fine, except I was always a bit disappointed about my tone….until I bought the Canvas and I just stopped complaining. It’s difficult for me to really explain it, things just sound better with this between the Iridium and the board at louder volumes and over longer cable runs than they sounded without it. At bedroom levels it made no difference at all.

Perfect solution for direct rig
I have used this with my hx stomp and also my UAFX dream, and in both cases it is exactly what I need to go direct. I use it in mono, currently but plan to switch to stereo pathing soon.

I use UAfx digital amp pedals into the Walrus, the DI goes to front of house, the thru goes into my Champ so I can hear what I’m playing. Works very well indeed, I’m very pleased.
