this was the best one of all that we tested
we needed to send wifi signal to four outdoor cameras. previously we were trying to run the wifi cameras from indoor routers. that was not working reliably.tested a bunch of wavlink and tp-link outdoor antennas. and this was clearly the best. it worked from the get go, was easy to set up and has been non-stop reliable over the last several months.way better than the tp-link, which did not enjoy the long ethernet poe run. (only 50 ft led to some power problems for us.)

easy to install clear directions, but I had to buy longer eithernet cord
very inexpensive way to repeat a wifi signal. I bought this and was shocked at easy it was to install, the fact I could connect well over 200 feet away and still have good data transfer. The data speeds I was getting was about 50mbps out of 1gbps if I was in the house, but I was pushing the range of the house router range to begin with. it stayed up and running through storms. I’m going to buy a second one to cover my entire yard

The most important take away for me from my testing is that this device is only capable of 100MB back to your router. That is an important point, as most AP’s now support 1,000MB (or GigaBit) connections. While the wireless portion itself may not be gigabit, the rate it which it sends the data back to the router or modem is 10 times less than what it could be! Upgrade this single point and this AP will be a really nice unit. Speeds are a little slower than other offerings for a similar price from WAVLINK. The WAVLINK products overall are very good quality however, I especially like that setup is easy as long as you have a little bit of knowledge in networking. I do recommend that you use the included POE injector, as others have indicated that this AP will not work with POE from a switch.Overall this is a nice unit, but having a 100MB backhaul is just not adequate in 2024.
