Super low watts 111-119
ââI wanted a dehumidifier with low watts and this is very low for this type of appliance.Ever since I bought solar panels and solar batteries, low watts are now my main appliance criteria.I have a watt tester and this is only 111-119 watts with the compressor running. I have checked it many times.I also wanted a unit that can blow air sideways and does not blow air straight up to the ceiling since I want to direct the air and heat from it. I might have considered a different brand if not for that.The other reason I wanted a low watt small unit is because I want it to run it all night on continuous or dry settings so I do not have to hear the compressor come on and off which is noisy. So I do not care that it takes awhile to bring the humidity down because I intend to leave it on all night in cool weather, so it is perfect for my needs. It took one hour to reduce the humidity in a 10 X 10 foot room from 75% to 45% – so if you have a large space….it may take quite a while longer or it may depend on how insulated your home is or how damp the climate, so it may not be able to keep up.am using it for a single room, so it seems fine.If you want something for a large room or to work very quickly and then simply shut off, and you have a lot of humidity, this may not be for you, not sure.My larger dehumidifier uses 400 watts and can do the same percent humidity change, as above, in about 10-15 minutes instead of an hour, so I am not saving watts for each percent in humidity change. It is still about 100 watts total to get the job done with either one in a single room. However, like I said, I want to leave it on, so this saves a lot of energy over time. My home is also not well insulated so even if the large unit gets the job done in under 15 min – it may be damp again by the end of the remaining hour making the smaller unit a better option under those conditions.The other advantage (or disadvantage) of this unit is that being low power, it produces a lot less heat.It only raised the room temperature a couple of degrees in one hour. My larger unit can change a room temperature by about 10-15 degrees in a larger 12X12 foot room and is a good heating option in winter. I am not sure yet if this will be a good winter heat source or if it will simply be my mild spring-fall option. We will see.Either unit is far more energy efficient than any space heater, by far, regardless. The other thing that makes this a good option, is that if you set it at 45 percent humidity (rather than use continuous or dry) it will shut off at around 42-43% and not come back on until 47-48%, thus, it is not turning on and off all the time for every percentage change in humidity. My larger one, of a different brand, does that, and with only a 1 percent change, it turns on and off and it is super annoying and loud when it does, thus the need for the continuous setting. So, it depends on what you are looking for.So far, so good, for what I wanted, and I will also probably use it to dry hand washables in the bathroom with the dry setting on damp days, as well, with the dry setting.It came with a manual but no set-up instructions.Its humidity gauge is similar to my separate units if placed nearby, so accurate enough.It does shut off when the bucket is full – that works fine.Do not forget to tighten the hose adapter plug in the back! Mine came lose, but I noticed it ahead of time. If you do not tighten it, it may leak.The unit is also a bit noisy. It is not louder then my bigger one but makes a higher pitch background sound and some slight chugging sounds, so I hope I can habituate to that.

Worth the price
First let me say this is the first dehu I’ve owned so this isn’t a comparison to others. When it arrived it was packages well and undamaged. It is a simple plug in and turn on if you’re using the tank rather than the hose. I haven’t yet used the hose but am to working on a setup to use it and drain it into a large water bottle so I don’t have to empty it so often. I don’t have a way to drain it into a sink or outside. When I started using it in a room that’s approx. 19 x 23 ft. (a renovated/finished garage, concrete floor with sheet vinyl) the humidity mid June rose to 70% and the temp was 90+ degrees. The window AC was not cooling at all, I assumed due to the humidity, so I tried lowering the humidity before replacing the AC. In 24 hours, the humidity was down to 60%, another 24 hours it was down to 50%. After that it took a month to reach 40%. It has been a wet summer with rain almost every day until a couple weeks ago…very humid outside. It continues to pull approx. 1-1.5 gallons of water out of the air daily. A larger tank would be nice, but I guess they’re trying to keep the units small. However, if you work all day and can’t empty it often enough it will shut off when full and wont pull any more moisture until it’s emptied. Nice that it doesn’t overflow and shuts off, but when it stops running the humidity rises again while it’s shut off, so the hose is a better option if you can’t empty 2-4 times a day depending on your moisture levels. It has been running non stop since I first plugged it in June 24…it is now Aug 12, 2025. The humidity level has fluctuated between 40 & 45% for about 3 weeks now with less rain, although still pretty humid outside. So far it hasn’t made any noises or leaked and has continued to work well. I’m eager to see how it does with the hose and when the weather cools down a bit (or maybe I’m just eager for the weather to cool down since it’s still 90 degrees in my living/sleeping space with 5 fans running! But I digress in my sweaty, heat-induced grumpiness.)If it fails or leaks I’ll update my review. So far I recommend it for the price vs a dehu with a larger tank. It seems to be quality built, but it is plastic, so…. Oh, and the splash guard on the tank is worth its weight in gold if you’re emptying the tank vs using the hose!!!

Decently satisfied overall but sound is annoying for sleeping
I bought this to use in my ~250 sqft bedroom that’s been getting humid this summer (in the 70% RH range). I had bought a small 50oz unit previously that was advertised as being suitable up to 1000 sqft but it barely made a dent so I upgraded to this one and this works fine to keep humidity down in the 50s.My biggest complaint is how it sounds. I specifically got this one because it had the lowest advertised dB I could find with this size unit and it is overall more quiet than the 35 pint Midea dehumidifier I have on my main floor but while the Midea is a very white noisy sound where you just hear the steady fan/motor, this one’s compressor makes very annoying sloshing and crackling sounds that are not as good for sleeping as white noise. I also wish it had a sleep mode that shut the light indicators off. I have an air purifier that does that but doesn’t seem common in dehumidifiers.The unit is very small overall, probably a third of the size of my Midea with the same dehumidification capacity. The downside of that is that the tank is super small as well. I have to empty it about twice a day. I do like that the tank has a lid to prevent spillage which the Midea does not.Another pro is that this seems to have some of the lowest electricity usage out of the units with this capacity. I haven’t measured it, just going by what’s listed in the specs.TLDR: I wouldn’t recommend it to use while sleeping due to the sound but overall a decent product.

Jâai acheté le déshumidificateur Waykar 80 «pints» modèle YDZ-80. Il a été commandé le 30 septembre et livré le 2 octobre. Bravo Amazon!!!!!. Jâai attendu au 3 octobre pour le mettre en marche pour mâassurer que le fluide caloporteur soit bien à sa place. Ce déshumidificateur remplace un vieux Sunbeam. Déjà en le déballant je mâaperçois que bien quâil soit de la même taille, ce Waykar est au moins 30% moins lourd. Bravo Waykar!!!.Depuis quâil a été mis en marche, lâappareil a réussi à abaisser le taux dâhumidité de la maison (3500) pi2 de 66% à 49% en 3 jours et le maintenir entre 45% et 50% avec un minimum dâénergie. Quelle différence fait cet appareil «EnergyStar». Photo 1.Le panneau de contrôle rend lâappareil très simple à utiliser (photo 2). On peut même le faire fonctionner sur un horaire programmé pour être utilisé la nuit quand le coût de lâélectricité est plus faible. Combiné avec la fonction arrêt-départ automatique quand le niveau dâhumidité requis est atteint, on utilise une énergie minimale pour le maintien dâun taux dâhumidité confortable.Lâoption dâun drainage continu de lâeau est aussi très «cool» (photo 3-4). Plus besoin de surveiller le niveau dâeau accumulé dans le bac et de le vider régulièrementDe plus, le filtre est très accessible pour le nettoyage (photo 5).Donc, jusquâà maintenant je suis très satisfait du rendement de lâappareil.

This dehumidifier does not work , at all . It cost me 500 dollars Australian. And zero dollars freight. Now I can’t get a refund until I return it at a cost to me of $260au . Don’t know what yo do .

Although it came with a broken wheel (I purchased a used Amazon warehouse one to save a few), it works perfectly and the Waycar customer service was happy to provide me with a replacement easily. They replied quickly and their website was easy to navigate and make an inquiry. *In the photo I added googly eyes because I thought it would look cute*The product itâs self really works, I had it placed next to hanging laundry in a cold temperature room, and it was able to remove the moisture from the clothes within a few hours! Thatâs something I never expected such a slick and small humidifier to do. I really hope you guys get it too so you can appreciate the quality and sleek look of this product. I will be purchasing again and recommending to everyone.
