Customers say
Customers find the wooden handle well-made and functional, with proper fit and good value for money. However, the sturdiness and attachment ease receive mixed feedback – while some find it sturdy, others report it breaking within minutes of use, and while some say it screws in well, others mention it doesn’t stay inside the broom head. Additionally, the handle shape is problematic, with several customers noting it was bent.

Big Stick
Not much to say here… The pole seems to be pretty sturdy as I would expect of any construction handle – no cracks or splinters. The metal threading is well attached and strong and fit standard attachments. The pressure test – using this as a broom stick or in my case car wash pole, made the pole bend only slightly with moderate to heavy (scrubbing) pressure. I absolutely never felt concerned that it might break under pressure of its intended use. There was no difference between this and those i’ve seen HD or Lowes, except this one was delivered to my door at about the same price.5 stars for simple reliability and quality that promises to last a long time at a low price.

Straight and solid.
Not cheap and too flexible.

Handle was bent slightly, but works
The handle arrived within two days, in a very long box (the poor delivery guy!). The handle was bent a little bit–noticeably, but not bad enough to make it hard to use. It’s a plain old wooden broom handle, so there’s not much to write about that. The screw threads worked fine, and it’s strong enough for my purposes.Note that 72″ is pretty long; you might want a shorter 60″ handle unless you know you need the extra length!

DON’T BUY THIS CHEAP SPLINTER STICK – GET PLASTIC OR METAL
Of all the 5 foot broomsticks on Amazon I had to choose this one. I figured a broomstick’s a broomstick. Well this thing arrived damaged somehow, in an overpacked box with nothing else in it… The laquer is chipped off all over and there’s chunks of wood missing with some really nice splinters waiting to find a warm home in my skin. On top of that it’s not even straight, not even close either. So anyway, GET A PLASTIC OR COMPOSITE BROOMSTICK. This really should be common sense, so you can avoid things like splinters, wish I’d had the common sense… So in the end I’m out $8.50 for a stick that gives me splinters.

Good pole
It’s a pole, and a pretty good one. In fact it fulfills all the necessary pole-y requirements. It’s cylindrical in shape. Am I missing any other critical factors for being a pole? It attaches to broom heads with a hole of the appropriate diamater and shape (threaded). Has this pole/stick/handle changed my life for the better? I can unequivocally say yes. Honestly, I don’t know how I ever lived my life without it. Before this, taking up the Witching profession seemed too daunting, and I spent days in bed watching Quiddich reruns on ESPNQ (all quiddich, all the time). I eyed Harry Potter with jealousy and contempt as he weaved and bobbed across the field at Hogwarts Academy, with each turn rubbing the failure to attain my life’s ambition in my face. But now everything has changed. Not only do I have this pole and corresponding brush head, but I’ve already successfully cleaned my patio two times. It’s only a matter of time Harry. Only a matter of time.

Good for the price.
Light weight but feels sturdy. Fit good in my push broom.

Nice handle
This handle for the broom I bought took a lot longer to arrive than the brush part. It would be better if they came together. If you are in a hurry to use it. It is lighter weight than expected for such a stiff brush.
