Helps organize a lot of hand tools
I have a lot of hand tools and this has helped me organize.Things I noticed :(1) Other reviewers are correct in that this is not heavy guage steel. I would not recommend throwing this in the back of a pickup as a work toolbox. For me, hauling it outside for small auto or carpentry jobs, then back inside, it’s perfect. Hauling it somewhere now and then in my carpeted minivan, it’s perfect. It’s nicer than reviewers let on, but simply not thick steel.(2) I really like the handles on the side because it is large and full of heavy tools. A handle on top would have been silly / inadequate. Btw, it takes a little muscle to thread the handle screws.(3) The drawers stay closed without the bars in. I think the bars are for transport. I keep them out and haul it around the house just fine. The drawers are nice quality, slide smoothly, and are lined which is a really nice touch.(4) The silver / gray color is actually quite dark, close to black. So I kind of wish I ordered the red one.(5) The top is plenty deep enough for my power drill with the cable wrapped around it. The bottom drawer is plenty deep enough for my rubber mallet. My main fears were steel thickness and drawer depth. Both are fine.I hope this review helps.

Perfect fit!!
I was pleasantly surprised when I received this tool box. It has a very high quality feel, the drawers glide perfectly, and have a detent when pushed in all the way which keeps the drawers shut if mounted in a moving vehicle. The sheet metal that it is made from isn’t as heavy as what you’d find in a brand name box, but it is heavy enough if not abused, and the workmanship is beyond excellent. For around a hundred bucks, it can’t be beat. Also, it is bigger than it looks in the photos. That was an added bonus.

5-drawer toolbox works for me. I don’t need it to move around. I don’t care about durability.
This toolbox arrived damaged, because the steel used is super-thin. But a few smacks with a hammer flattened the seam down. The steel is 21-gauge – 0.032″ thin. The bottom of the toolbox is not solid – it is an open frame that exposes the bottom drawer. The drawers do not lock, but they do stay shut if you push them past the detent. I like that I can have the toolbox top closed, but still open the drawers. The feature that I like is that it has FIVE drawers. Upper drawers are shallow at only 1.5″ clearance, but the bottom drawer is deep enough (3.2″) to hold a hand drill.
