Initially, it looked gimmicky to me, like something that a young girl would like, glittery and all, but I was intrigued enough about the Ph reaction to try it, and the product proofed me wrong! First, it just looks full of glitter, but when it goes onto your lips, all it has is a pleasant light reflecting shimmer that gives the illusion of fuller lips. I was somewhat apprehensive about the kind of pink it would turn into on my lips. The product creates a very customized, one of a kind color according to your body chemistry. Luckily, it was not a Barbie or bubblegum pink, but for me like a beautiful rose with some mauve undertones. This acts like a moisturizing lip balm, not a lipstick, stain or lip oil. Lipstick creates a layer of color on top of your lips. When you put on lipstick, well, you look like you put on lipstick. Lip stains sink into your lips, but are usually drying and too darkly pigmented. Oils are sticky and messy. Back to lip balms. This one is special because you get a chemical reaction, not something that sits on top or sinks in, but something that actually turns your lips a rose or pink color as if you have been born with it. If you like a natural look like me where less is more and make-up is only used sparingly to enhance natural beauty, then this product is for you! As to color transfer, it is simple, give this product about 20 minutes to sink in, and it no longer transfers. Try putting on a lip balm. Initially, it sits on top of your lips until it is absorbed by your skin. Once you feel like the product has sunk in, it no longer transfers the color. Folks are right though about having to re-apply it periodically. The chemical reaction will have to be renewed every so often. I am sold on this. At least for my every-day look, I will no longer grab my lipsticks.

I bought the clear one, called rainbow. It feels like a chapstick, hydrates lips, not sticky. Color is like a lipstick. The more times you coat your lips, the brighter it is. The first time I used it since it was clear I was thinking I had to do multiple swips of the color, wrong. Looked like I just had a popsicle. Next time I did one coat, it was a perfect natural pink. It stays like a lip stain. Does not smear when you wipe your mouth and lasts all day.

I absolutely love this lip gloss. It doesnât add a crazy amount of glitter to your lips, so itâs not gritty, and is in fact, very smooth. It does add a nice shiny luster to your lips, and the color changes on me to a beautiful deep pink within a few seconds to a minute. It also seems to have an ingredient that help to moisturize my lips. My favorite thing to do with this is to use a lip stain underneath first. Then I top off with this glitter gloss. And reapplied the glitter gloss over the stain throughout the day. Itâs great for an all day look without having to worry about losing color on your lips. If youâre looking for a good stain, Amazon sells an amazing one, by wonder skin. I own it and probably six colors, it works so well, but I donât use any other stains or colors. I also own this gloss in multiple colors. Itâs one of my go to staple items in my purse that I must have every day. It is a little expensive for lip gloss, but for the amount of time it last and for the affect it has, I think itâs worth it. I think it would also be something great to give to a teenager, or tween maybe who wants to wear make up, because it is so different from regular lipstick. It just reacts with your skin to turn a bit of a deeper shade of pink. And adds a touch of glitter.

I bought two of these, the Confetti Balm-Rainbow, and the Aurora Balm-Glimmer. Of the two, I really like the Confetti Balm because when you open it, it looks like a hologram! The hologram effect, however, does not transfer to your lips. For me the color change is subtle, a light pink. I wanted a darker, more purpl’ish change, and bought the Aurora. When you open it, it is a deep mauve with tiny gold sparkles. I did not notice any plumping effect with either of them, and no noticeable taste. Would I buy again? Yes, very possibly – it would be the confetti balm.
