This is a nice affordable set of spade drill bits. They are very sharp and cut through studs easily. However, the tip on 1.25″ bit broke off after drilling through six 2×4 studs, so they may not be all that durable.

Right at the moment I was cursing the cheap rubbish bit with a bent shaft I was intending to use to finish a wiring job there was a knock on the door.
