Great option for identifying bolts; convenient and space-saving
This is a cool design for a combination wrench, and another winner from a tool company quickly rising the ranks to become one of my favorites. I think these work best when youâre not sure which sizes of wrench you need. These are a great way to identify the size of the bolt youâll need to work on.The body of each wrench is just over 3/8â thick (precisely 13/32â), and the rotating disc is just over 1/8â thick (5/32â exactly). The backs of the wrenches are flush, with the only fasteners being small machine screws (Phillips head) holding the rotating discs in place. The metric sizes available are simple, they run between 8mm – 19mm, and no sizes are skipped. The SAE sizes are 5/16, 11/32, 3/8, 13/32, 7/16, 1/2, 17/32, 9/16, 5/8, 21/32, 11/16, and 3/4.While testing, I noticed that the fit wasnât as tight on any of the bolt heads as it couldâve been. Once I tested this against my other wrenches, though, I found the play to be roughly similar. That is, the fit isnât as tight as possible, but no more loose than wrenches specifically designed for the same size. Still, I thought theyâd make the fit at least a little tighter than a standard wrench, if only because these combo wrenches will probably loosen with use and time, but again, theyâre on par with my other wrenches so I wonât hold this against them.Overall, I think these are another great offering from Workpro. Only time will tell how well they hold up, but these are a convenient option for those times when youâre not sure which size(s) youâll need. I highly recommend them.

jaws too thin and chunky, buy a full wrench set instead
I thought these would be great to keep in my “emergency” toolbox in my car, but I was disappointed in the tools themselves. I have other tools from this maker and have not been disappointed-until now. You could find a full ratchet set for the price of these and be better off. The problem with this set is that the metal piece that rotates to make the different sizes is too thin so the tool flops around on the nut. A standard 6 point wrench fits much more snug and stays in place. These are also much “clunkier” than a standard wrench or even a ratchet wrench. These are a bit short at only 7.6″ so you don’t get much leverage, but then I’m not sure it would be strong enough to work a 3/4″ nut anyway. I also wonder how long the plastic lock is going to last. This is a nice idea and certainly takes less space than a full set, but I think the implementation leaves something to be desired. I would also think that at this price they would come with a small cloth pouch.

Workpro adjustable multi-position 2-piece wrench set. Clever idea, with some performance limitations
This review is for the WORKPRO 2-Piece 12-in-1 Universal Adjustable Wrench Set. The multi-position ASME standard set comes with an 8-19mm Metric and a 5/16″-3/4″ SAE. These multi-size wrenches use heat-treated Cr-Mo Steel, and they are a recent innovation from Workpro, which is a company known for making decent-quality consumer-grade tools. The product is designed with a thin, flat metal wrench head, which forms the top of the device, and an angular rotating disc that sits behind it. The disc can be twisted into different positions when you depress the plastic “push” button on the front, locking into place after you release the button. Depending on which position the disc is set in, you will have a larger or smaller opening in the wrench part on the front, and you are supposed to position this over nuts and bolts of various sizes, to grab the edges and loosen or tighten as needed. The kit I selected has one tool which uses SAE sizes, and one with metric sizing, ostensibly allowing you to work on both foreign-made and domestic-made cars, but they also sell just the metric one by itself. It is an economical and space-saving idea, intended to save hobbyists the cost and headache of buying, storing, and carting around, a full set of wrenches, however there are some significant drawbacks to the design that caused me to give this duo a less-than-perfect rating. For starters, the metal wrench head is pretty thin, and the disc in the back limits the placement/position of the front part even further, so you can’t place this all the way down onto the body of many nuts and bolts, especially thick ones. In addition, the opening created by the combination of the back disc aligning with the head on top is geometric, but not actually nut or bolt shaped, so it only lines up partially with the edges of whatever you’re screwing or unscrewing. As a result of these two limitations, you never get a very good grip on your nut or bolt compared to the grip you’d obtain with a real open-headed wrench, and the tools are quite small and short, so the undersized handles don’t give you much torque power. Lastly, the disc part in back increases the overall diameter of the head, which means the tools don’t fit well into deep cavities, and narrow or tight openings, making them problematic for many automotive and plumbing jobs. The adjustable wrenches do work OK in some situations, for example assembling pre-fab furniture, and light-duty home maintenance, but a full set of non-adjustable steel wrenches would probably be a better investment in the long run, and might even be less expensive, so I’m not sure these are such a great buy. I’m keeping them in my parts box, to use in situations where I either don’t know what size of wrench head is called for, or I can’t find/don’t have the proper size, but they probably wouldn’t be the first tools I reach for when making a repair.

Great Idea, Easy to Adjust and Portable.
This is a great idea. I’ve used a lot of different multi-sized wrenches in the past and these are great for small jobs versus needing to bring a whole set with you to work on a job.Really easy to adjust but two hands are needed. I used it for tuning up our bicycles for the fall and it worked great for what I needed. As drawback, I don’t know how well they would work on heavy jobs (worry of stripping nuts), and they can be a little bulky to fit into smaller spaces.

Great set of adjutable wrenches
If you don’t feel like bringing a whole box of sockets for a little job these are the perfect tool for you. I personally have never seen something like this but I was able to use them for little adjustments on different sized car bolts. The shape may cause some bolts in weird angles to be unreachable but for regular ones like battery or mounting nuts, there are no issues.
