Customers say

Customers find the string trimmer works well, is easy to use, and appreciate its lightweight design that’s easy to carry around. The trimmer quality is good, with one customer noting it’s particularly useful for delicate plants. The battery life and value for money receive mixed feedback – while some say it lasts a long time and is worth the money, others report very short battery life and consider it low quality. The size receives mixed opinions, with some finding it perfect for smaller properties while others say it’s smaller than expected, and the string strength is a concern as it breaks too easily.

    Light and powerful!
I’m in love! I have a gas powered weed wacker, which works great, but it is so heavy and loud and has a pull start. Decided to give a battery powered weed wacker a try. This Worx is a dream come true! It was very easy to assemble-just slide the cover on and screw in. I did not put the wheels on, as I have nothing to edge. Each battery took about 4 hours to charge. Not sure how long the batteries last because I was done in about 15 minutes. I love that this model comes with two batteries so that I can switch them out if need be. It is powerful enough to trim down the oak sprouts and some other weeds that are thicker than grass. Its light. I love the adjustable handle and telescoping shaft. I will actually look forward to weed wacking from now on!

Great Weed Eater! Light and clean!
Great, light weight, easy as 1,2,3 to put together. It seems that it was built to last. I purchased several toolsfrom this brand Worx and I am very satisfied with it.What a nice to work with weed eater!! Perfectly adaptable length, no cords, powerful and very low noise, my dogs didn’t mind and they hate tools noise.

“Excellent Tool Design Held Back by Battery Performance”
The compact size, light weight, and user-friendly design are excellent features. However, the battery performance presents some challenges: each battery requires a complete five-hour charging cycle but only provides 10-20 minutes of operation time. For projects extending beyond 30-40 minutes with just two batteries, advance planning becomes essential. When working on longer projects, you have three practical solutions:  (1) wait five hours between battery swaps for a full recharge, (2) invest in additional pre-charged batteries, or (3) set up multiple charging stations with extra batteries and chargers for continuous workflow. What appears to be an inexpensive Trimmer, Blower combination can become more expensive and time-consuming to complete projects that take longer than 40 minutes.

Light and easy to use – 2 batteries does my 1/4 acre (well maintained) lot with no problems
I wanted to wait after a few uses. I think I’ve used it about 9-10 times now. So glad we got this. It is really light and makes trimming and edging seem almost fun now. Thinking back to my corded trimmer and always having to manually feed the line because the autofeed never worked right. The autofeed works on this almost flawlessly. I’ve only had to open the cap with the line twice. Once because I didn’t autofeed in time and the line was no longer sticking out then the 2nd time was to swap it out. I just bought the 6 pack of line here on amazon because it was basically the same price.Durability and use. After reading the reviews and how hard it was to snap into place I confirmed it was, but I read some and the materials they use are very durable. I think I read it on their homepage that the plastic used was the same plastic on helmets, so I think it will last a long time. I only have about a 1/4 acre of a yard. The first use was not under easy conditions because it rained a lot and things were getting a little tall. Under normal conditions this thing flies through the jobs. Both batteries easily get me through the front and backyard and edging around the flowerbeds. Sadly we got lazy on our backyard flowerbed and now we have grass/weeds…so I just whack them down for now. I know you can’t have the perfect “conditional” yard to cut every time because of rain and growth…so 2 batteries is pushed to the limit then because it does bog down in thicker conditions. Not so much that it stops, but it definitely slows down then picks back up once cut.It is light like everyone says, but I read somewhere here ( some elderly lady) where she crafted/engineered an old shoulder strap to help ease the load even more. I will tell you. I exercise and lift dumbbells 10x this weight, but hardly stopping now and moving…it does get heavy after awhile. So I have slowly been thinking how I can rig a shoulder strap. This will make it even faster. I feel my forearms after basically non-stop use of this. The Batteries seem to hold pretty good constant charge for me. I make sure they’re both fully charged before I do any work. The only complaint I have, and it may only be mine…is that the charger itself is REALLY snug when snapping in. Snapping into the tool itself is very easy. I don’t think my wife or kids would actually be able to unlock it from the charger as snug as it is right now. It works so well and the snug snapping on the charger is not enough to make me want to deduct a star.I plan to buy the hedger and blower next to have extra batteries and chargers. I think on one of them I’ll just buy the tool itself. I think 3 batts and 2 chargers should suffice. If I find any anomalies during the summer I will surely report it here. I use amazon reviews like crazy and trust everyone’s positive and negative reviews. So if I read enough…I suppose i’d jump off a bridge with yall. Even if I don’t buy from Amazon (oops?) I still normally buy something they may stock and read their reviews. Sometimes I just need something right then lol. Sorry Amazon.

A trimmer that works for you!
This is the second version of this that I’ve owned– my first was 12 years old and worked perfectly (and on the original single battery) right up until the chassis/body was broken in a stupid garage storage accident. The new version looks virtually identical, with the exception of a handy line advance button on the handle. That’s nice. Being cordless, it came with two batteries and a charger, so I can get about 40-45 minutes of work time out of it in one run…which is more than enough, as I find myself looking for other things to trim when I’ve finished edging the sidewalks and driveway and various nuisance weeds on the fence line. Usually I can swap the 2nd battery onto my WORX blower and do a quick clean up before running out of power. The first spool of cutting string has lasted through several sessions, I seems very long and durable, indeed. As far as power goes, it’s great. Annoyingly tough weeds get sliced through in short order, especially my neighbor’s invasive Creeping Charlie weeds that try to invade my yard. The variable-angle cutting head along with the adjustable rotating shaft makes all jobs easy and precise as I want to be. Is it on par with a 4-cycle Toro? Not really… but it takes care of my 1/3 acre yard with ease. The additional ability to collapse in length makes storage very easy also. I’ve got laser-sharp edged walkways out front (I zip down the block and do my adjoining neighbors as well, they’re lazy and apparently like my work!)

This is what I was waiting for. The smaller worx trimmers aren’t powerful enough and the large ones are too powerful for certain jobs. This is a perfect mix of the 2. Lots of power. Runs well. Hopefully the handle doesn’t crack like most worx trimmers. If you’re looking at what worx trimmer to get, pick this one. I own litterally every single worx trimmer. This one is the best in my opinion.
