Fantastic product. I love that it pans 360 degrees. Mount it in full sun and just forget it. I love all my Wyze cameras and will be removing my Rings!

Has to be plugged if or you have to pay for the subscription to record
The camera is really good, but won’t record without paying for a subscription with Wyze. It has to be plugged in or it will not do any recording :/

As with all the Wyze products they are built well – easy to install and setup. I not being a IT guy was able to set this one up in about 15 minutes and installation was a breeze.. Install required drill with bit – Phillips Head screwdriver – Ladder and ur all set.

Good wireless remote camera for near space monitoring
Actually nice wireless camera. Lost one star because packaging was open (used? refurb?) but no apparent issues from it.I charged up the camera and downloaded the app. Easy. Added the camera to the app and began immediately viewing and moving camera remotely. For fun, we routed the view to an inside television and was really happy with results.Attached (temporary) to the balcony railing out at the ocean. Camera did well on cloudy day but battery was discharging. Down 5% in first hour with solar panel aimed skyward.I liked the quality of the images with a small note of a small amount of fisheye — don’t expect studio or cell phone images. Color is good. App let me zoom in and pan within frame (some don’t … imagine that).It is a good exterior view camera. With better mounting we may leave it out during a major storm to see what happens.

Charge it first, dumdum. Read the directions and they work fine
I guess some don’t/can’t read directions. You have to fully charge it before you set it up. After that it only needs an hour of direct sunlight to maintain 100% charge. It works, but as with all Wyze products, they’re not perfect and the app is very glitchy, the cams lose wifi connection sometimes and the person detection ai still needs work but Wyze has been getting better over the years. I use 7 of them at my car dealership. I have automations set for night time to set off all the sirens when a human is detected and it’s already solely prevented 2 vehicle theft attempts in the last 2 years. As soon as the sirens went off (get the floodlights too, they’re loud), the car thieves took off running. I’d give it 8/10 or 4.5 out of 5. They’re getting better with the glitches as the updates roll out. I’ll use these cams on my second location as well
