Perfect locking bike attachment for my nissan truck
This item works perfectly with the Nissan utilitrack bed system in my 2017 frontier. Like all Yakima products, it’s heavy duty and keeps your bike secure and safe. Was hesitant at first about how the blockhead would attach to the track system, but after installing, it looks like its an oem accessory. Just pick up the cone nuts, bolts and washers pictured and you’ll see how easy and convenient this locking bike attachment is to install on the truck.

    holds my bike secure
I travel a lot with my bike and I feel safe with it locked in the truck with this blockhead, not sure I would leave my bike in the truck overnight but I feel very safe while at rest stops and restaurants and such. very sturdy and secure.

    Toyota Tundra/Tacoma bed rail setup
The mount is nicely made. I bought it to mount to the OEM bed rail system on my Tundra but had to modify it slightly to make it work the way I wanted it to. The mount is drilled for 1/4” bolts and I was unable to find T slot nuts that take a 1/4 bolt. Most use a 3/8-16 bolt. I ordered the T Slot nuts and bolts shown in the picture which fit the bed rail. The bolts shown in the picture were too short so I ended up having to go buy a couple longer ones. Unfortunately to make this work, I had to drill out 2 spots on the bracket to accept a 3/8-16 bolt. The bracket is aluminum so it’s very easy to drill out on a drill press. If you’re mounting it up to your bed rails, do not buy the bolts shown in picture. Go hit the hardware store and pick up longer bolts. Just make sure they’re 3/8-16s for the T slot nuts shown in the picture. The mount is pretty nice and with the bit of modification to fit the hardware you need, it works great for the OEM bed rail system on your Tundra or Tacoma. . I searched up and down for the same size T slot nuts to accommodate a 1/4-20 bolts and couldn’t find anything the right size. Maybe you’ll have better luck but overall the mount works great with the aforementioned modifications.

    Super quick and easy
Super quick and easy. I bolted mine directly to my tool box in the bed of my truck, with rounded top bolts (not included), it works great, and is secure as the nuts are in the locked tool box. Would highly recommend the same idea if you have a truck with toolbox combination. One thing I noticed though is that the back wheels would bounce on very rough roads.

    Solid lockable mount
Bolted 2 of these down to the UWS toolbox I bought on amazon for my 2012 F150 Supercrew. These hold my bike and lock therefore the perform their job flawlessly. If you order multiple, the odds are not in your favor that they will be keyed alike. I had a set of Yakima cores that are about 20 years old and those same SKS cores worked on these. If you want them keyed alike, you may need to buy a set of SKS lock cores.

    Easy install
Ordered and installed two of these on my pickup bed, The truck has a liner that covers the top rails front and back so I mounted one on each side rail near the cab to haul two bikes. Had to drill 4 holes and insert bolts and nuts, used Lock-tite on the nuts underneath. Check nuts once in awhile to make sure all is well. Would have been a nice option to be able to order matching cores/keys instead of having two separate sets. Otherwise working great. Would buy again.

Solid locking blockhead, great thief deterrent
Though it doesn’t come with bolts to mount it to my truck’s toolbox, a quick trip to an auto parts store and drilling 2 holes into my toolbox does the trick. It is very very difficult to try to unlock/unbolt this blockhead, I tried right after installing it. I have the front end of my bike locked into the blockhead and the rear tire is chain locked onto the truck rack, a thief would have to work really hard to try steal my bike. With 3 blockheads installed on my toolbox I’m ready for a family road trip up the coast of California!

    Simple & Effective
It’s simple and effective. I’d still view it as a good deterrent as opposed to absolute security. If someone is hell bent on stealing your bike, they can still unbolt the blockhead. Still, it’s (relatively) inexpensive and it works.

Mounted it on top of my Diamondback tonneau cover. Took minutes to install. You can barely notice it, which is exactly what I wanted. The locking feature was a must and gave me piece of mind when I stepped away from my vehicle while travelling.

Works as intended. Came with no hardware. Not impressed. Instructions state it came with hardware. Separate trip to hardware store and $20 bucks later I was able to mount them. Easy install once hardware was found.
