Very sensitive – great rain detector!
I have a dozen or so YoLink LoRa products. I designed the RF protocol in Lutron’s Cassetta products and I’ve. spoken to the engineers at YoLink and their system is system. The communication to the devices is SUPER RELIABLE — much better than wifi (longer wavelength, among other things, equals better penetration through walls). Their products are very reliable and their customer support is EXCELLENT. They respond quickly and they actually know what they are talking about at a technical level.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOLINK PRODUCTS.They are also very reasonably priced. You have to buy the separate hub, which is an added expense, and if you only want one YoLink device makes it pricey. But once you have the hub, the additional devices are inexpensive. I use their door sensors, door locks, motion detectors and this leak detector I use as a rain detector (it’s just sitting outside on a horizontal surface).It is very sensitive. Just a drop or two can set it off. It says it’s raining and I go outside and think, “it’s not raining” but then I wait a 10 seconds and “oh wait, I felt a drop.” that’s how sensitive it is. Very easy to set up — just scan the code.

Great LoRa radio range
I have liked the Yolink line of sensors due to their long range and reliability attributed to their use of the LoRa (Long Range) radio protocol. Unfortunately, because they implement a proprietary version of the LoRa protocol, the DIYer cannot utilize any of their sensors without the Yolink Hub. Fortunately, the hub works very well and the Yolink application allows for many built-in features making their devices very easy to set up and use. From their inception, I have used their original water sensors without great success. The battery life has been excellent, with my original leak sensors utilizing 2x AAA alkaline batteries going on 4 years now (they are expected to last around 5 years + according to Yolink). I cannot speak yet to the battery life of this new leak sensor with the built-in alarm, but I suspect that the battery life will be similar, at least unless you have repeated and extended alarms which may end up draining the battery faster due to power consumption by the siren (which BTW is very loud!). Anyway, at just a couple of bucks more than the original without the integrated siren, this is a very good value as this will also alert you even if you are not next to your phone. Overall, 5 stars for ease of connectivity to the hub, reliability (works even when internet is down), battery life, fantastic range, small discreet size, and the addition of the integrated siren/alarm.

This is an honest review that I havenât been compensated for in any way.This YoLink leak sensor works perfectly. Iâve had this YoLink leak sensor starter kit for over a year now and it works great. Over the past year Iâve never had any false alarms. Only real ones. Including last night when my laundry room flooded. Each unit has its own alarm although they are hi pitched and difficult for me to hear well. The hub has an alarm in which its volume is adjustable. It will send notifications via email and instant alerts over your cellphone. Iâve never once missed an alarm due to lack of alerts.The leak under my kitchen sink would have cost the price of a new laminate flooring. I have one under my dishwasher but have never had a leak there. The laundry room alarm saved me from having a huge mess to clean up.They are so small that you can put them almost anywhere and they are barely noticeable.They have sensors both on the top and bottom of each unit to handle various leak scenarios.I love these so much that itâs been over a year since I bought them and Iâm using my valuable time to sit down and write a review.They have paid for themselves many times over and having the peace of mind, knowing that if there is ever a leak, I will be notified immediately. If something should ever happen to them I will definitely be buying more.

Yolink products work very well and give me peace of mind
We own three homes in different parts of the US. I have multiple Yolink products in all of them and they make it easy to manage the houses without expensive home watch. The Yolink products I use are temperature and humidity sensors, water leak sensors, power switches, water shutoff valves, and a water meter for the lawn sprinkler. It gives me great peace of mind knowing the climate conditions in the homes, being able to turn on and off the water as needed, automating lights in the house for security purposes, and knowing how much water my sprinkler uses. All this on my iPhone App from anywhere in the world. A great plus is that the Yolink devices are connected to a radio wave hub and not individually to my WiFi router. This saves a lot of bandwidth for browsing or watching movies.

Part of a great product line.
This is my first leak detector. I have several temperature and humidity sensors made by YoLink. I wish I’d had this when the temperature/pressure relief valve on my water heater started leaking, but I have one there now! Setup was easy, just like all of my YoLink sensors. These products are great. The batteries last a really long time and they have a long wifi range.

Help me sleep better at night
My basement flooded last summer and we placed these in all of our areas that we had a concern in. They work really well. Gave us a little piece of mind. They are pretty loud notifications too. I was on the main floor of my house and could hear one going off in the basement. I did get a notification on my phone. It was just on do not disturb. I have not had to change the batteries yet.

These have worked flawlessly since I’ve installed five of them. These are Lifesavers when you have absent-minded people in your house. It could save you thousands if you stick one by your dishwasher and have a valve stuck open.
