Excellent Robot Lawn Mower. Time saver
Iâve been using the Mammotion YUKA 2000 for a few weeks now, and Iâm genuinely impressed. Setup was a breezeâeverything connected without a hitch, and mapping my yard was intuitive and quick. The mower handled my lawn effortlessly, navigating around trees and other obstacles with ease. One of the standout features for me is how well it climbs the steep section of my yard (tested without the bagger so far). It didnât struggle at all, which was a pleasant surprise. The machine makes nice straight lines, which nakes the yard look amazing! Now my yard is always looking amazing! And the best is that I dont need to do anything to keep it looking nice!The sweeper kit is a great bonus as I have lots of pine niddles falling all the time, though Iâm still have not installed the bag attachmentâit seems to ship separately and takes about a week or more to arrive. Iâll update once Iâve tested it with the full setup.A couple of things to note: it doesnât perform well in soft ground. My side yard is a bit damp, and the yuka tends to dig in and leave holes. I wouldnât blame the mowerâitâs just not designed for that kind of terrain.One area Iâm still figuring out is the anti-theft feature. During a storm, I picked up the unit and stored it, but I didnât receive any notification on my phone. Not sure if thereâs a specific setup required for alerts. According to the manufacturer, the mower canât be re-registered to another user, which is reassuring, but I havenât tested that functionality myself.Overall, this mower has made lawn care incredibly easy and efficient. If you have a typical yard with decent terrain, this is a fantastic investment. Looking forward to seeing how it performs with the bagger installed!

Now, thanks to the Yuka 1500, my lawn is mowed like clockwork, and it honestly looks like a golf green!Setup and MappingâA Breeze!Setting up the Yuka 1500 was a fun and surprisingly easy experience. The GPS RTK station needs a clear view of the sky, and mounting it on my back deck railing (amidst my many trees) worked perfectly. Mapping the zones felt like playing with a remote control car! Pro tip: donât worry about getting too close to the edgesâleave a little space, especially if you have trees or brush, and tackle those edges with a trimmer.PerformanceâImpressive Across the BoardThis mower exceeded my expectations. Outperformed the Goat 2500 in Challenging GNSS Environment
I had invested in advanced AI mower, which was delivered a few years back. Sadly they couldnât manage the logistics part of being a new mower company. Iâll keep working with them to make their mower better, but I needed something that could mow my front and back lawns. Front is pretty easy GNSS-wise for both mowers. But I live next to the county park land so the back has a lot of trees that block the signal and houses as well as trees on the sides. My original mower almost never mowed the back successfully without intervention multiple times. Since I had an Ecovacs vacuum that was pretty advanced for when it came out, so I decided to try their Goat 2500 and see if their cut-to-edge, vision, Lidar, and RTK system was better than my original company. So that system was faster, which I liked but it still didnât really cut as close as I would have liked to physical boundaries and mapped obstacles. Not looking for perfection, but it kept a bigger distance than I would have expected. Anyway, it did a nice job it the front, but it too threw its hands up at the back. This is despite have plenty of common GNSS satellites. So moved their RTK closer to the back. It still had trouble. It almost seemed like the issue was somehow RTK to mower communications. Worked with tech support, but we couldnât get it to work. Well I didnât need the Goat if it could mow the yard as a whole any better than my original. So disappointedly I sent it back. I was thinking maybe the Goat 3000 (their new all-Lidar model) was what I needed to conquer the back, but I didnât want to pay that much. So I gave the Yuka 2000 a try. My thought was, if it was successful with the whole lawn, I could get the sweeper module after (somehow getting both isnât any cheaper than buying separately). Well, the Yuka worked better in almost every way. Features I wish I had on my original mower were already implemented and working nicely. It cuts close enough to mapped obstacles and physical borders that I donât really need to string trim. Itâs just as fast as the Goat was. So very happy with my Yuka 2000 purchase!My my only cons:Height is a manual change on Yukas. So you canât set the height for an area and have the mower make the adjustment.Remote driving the mower can only be done with Bluetooth, so you canât rescue the mower while on vacation.Would love to see a drop spreader attachment.So Iâm glad that my Yuka 2000 can manage my challenging back yard and performs better overall in all aspected compared to my original mower and the Goat 2500.In the picture, I marked the location of my GNSS antenna with a red X.

Ho acquistato lo Yuka 1500 dopo lunghi confronti e confronti l’anno scorso, deciso a fare un passo nell’automazione del taglio del giardino di circa 1300 metri quadri.La scelta è ricaduta su Mammotion perché cercavo un tagliaerba che non mi costringesse a posare il filo e che non avesse troppi elementi da inserire all’interno dell’area verde.Studiato un po’ il funzionamento tra modalità di taglio, RTK, GPS, WiFi e 4G, mi sono deciso e ho effettuato l’acquisto.A distanza di un anno e mezzo mi posso dire decisamente soddisfatto: il robot è solido, molto ben fatto ed incredibilmente preciso, soprattutto se si studia bene la triangolazione tra antenna, base e Yuka.Il sistema di navigazione, infatti, guida il tosaerba con sicurezza all’interno delle aree di taglio con tale precisione che è possibile anche creare disegni sul manto erboso sfruttando le diverse inclinazioni di taglio.Taglio che, almeno nella mia esperienza di uso su giardino poco gestito, è notevole: i risultati pre e post taglio sono una gioia per gli occhi e non sono “NETTISSIMI”, ossia l’erba anche se ordinata, non ha un aspetto artificiale.Se il funzionamento del robot in sé già è stata una sorpresa, l’applicazione è stata la ciliegina sulla torta.Funziona bene, è chiara in praticamente tutte traduzioni e permette davvero di sbizzarrirsi nella programmazione dei lavori, delle zone di taglio e del tipo di taglio, permettendo anche di decidere e di alternare gli angoli di taglio migliorando il risultato di volta in volta.Problemi? Si, qualcuno. Per avere sempre il migliore risultato di gestione del robottino, dovete assicurarvi di avere una buona connessione che può essere raggiunta con un range extender o, e questo lo rende inarrestabile, una sim 4G. Non è che non funzioni contionua a tagliare basandosi sulla posizione e sulla memoria interna, ma è più probabile, nella mia esperienza, che per sicurezza metta in pausa il lavoro.All’inizio di quest’anno, poi, quando ho rimesso in funzione ilo Yuka ho cominciato a sperimentare degli improvvisi cali di batteria che lasciavano spento il robottino in mezzo al giardino senza una buona ragione (poi risolto, leggete dopo).E l’assistenza? L’assistenza al momento lavora principalmente in inglese, almeno questa è la mia esperienza, e per questo ho chiesto aiuto a mio figlio per spiegare in modo corretto all’assistenza quale fosse il malfunzionamento.Ammetto che non avevo grandi speranze, ma il servizio clienti non solo ha provato prima a risolvere il problema consigliandomi alcune azioni di test, ma ha deciso infine di inviarci una batteria di ricambio (parliamo di un pezzo originale, nuovo dal valore di 200 euro dal loro sito): non scontato.I tempi non sono stai immediati e ci è voluta un po’ di pazienza tra una risposta e l’altra, ma non posso di certo lamentarmi, anzi.Inoltre prima della batteria, avevo perso un’astina che protegge il fondo del robot e mi è stata inviata gratuitamente anche quella (e non era certo in garanzia come la batteria).Manutenzione: va fatta. Diciamo che il robot tagliaerba fa davvero tanto, molto più di quanto vi possiate aspettare da lui, però vi richiede anche un minimo di attenzioni: risciacquarlo ogni tanto, cambio lame e, molto importante, la rimessa invernale come indicato dall’azienda.In conclusione che dire? Sono soddisfatto, semplicemente soddisfatto. Ci sono ancora degli aspetti che stanno ancora migliorando (continuo a ricevere update per il firmware del robot), ma l’esperienza è stata decisamente sopra le aspettative tanto da trasformarsi spesso in gioco con mio figlio tra pianificazione delle aree e “no-go zone”.Nelle foto: un risultato di taglio completo del prato e uno screen dell’applicazione.

Ich habe den Mammotion Yuka 1500 seit einigen Wochen im Einsatz und bin sehr zufrieden. Die Installation war überraschend einfach, da kein Begrenzungskabel notwendig ist. Die Navigation per GPS-RTK funktioniert präzise, der Roboter fährt systematisch und lässt keine Stelle aus.Das Mähergebnis ist ausgezeichnet: Der Rasen sieht gleichmäÃig und gepflegt aus. Auch mit Hindernissen oder unebenem Gelände kommt das Gerät problemlos zurecht. Die Steuerung über die App ist intuitiv, Zeitpläne lassen sich individuell festlegen.Der Akku hält lange durch und der Roboter kehrt automatisch zur Ladestation zurück. Insgesamt ein zuverlässiger, moderner Mähroboter, der mir viel Arbeit abnimmt. Absolute Kaufempfehlung.Und weil ich so begeistert bin habe ich mir den Yuka Mini auch noch gekauft.

Den Mammotion Yuka 1500 habe ich während der Amazon Prime Tage gekauft und nun seit ein paar Tagen im Einsatz. Meine ersten Eindrücke bezüglich Verarbeitung, Einrichtung und Betrieb gebe ich hier wieder und werde die Rezension sukzessive ergänzen.Unser GrundstückZuerst ein paar Eckdaten zu unserem Grundstück. Insgesamt haben wir eine Fläche von etwa 1300 Quadratmetern, die in den letzten Jahren durch einen Mähroboter (Stihl Imow RMI 422 PC) mit Drahtführung nach dem Chaosprinzip bearbeitet wurde. Die zu bearbeitende Fläche beträgt – sofern man der Mammotion App glauben darf – etwa 730 Quadratmeter. Der Rest des Grundstückes wird vom Haus, Garage, Sitzgelegenheiten, Gewächshaus, Bäumen, Beeten und sonstigen Objekten eingenommen.Warum ein RTK Mäher und warum der Mammotion Yuka?Meine Frau und ich haben immer wieder neue Ideen und verändern das Design des Gartens. Mal ist es ein neues Hochbeet, mal ein zweites Fussballtor oder ein neuer Baum wird gepflanzt. In der Vergangenheit bedeutete dies den Draht zu finden, aufzutrennen und neue Sperrbereiche zu verlegen. Die RTK Lösung erscheint mir da deutlich komfortabler. Ein weiterer Aspekt ist die Mähtechnik. Unser altes Modell fuhr – wie eingangs erwähnt – nach dem Chaosprinzip. Einige Bereiche unseres Grundstückes erreichte der Mäher nur selten, dementsprechend blieb dort immer etwas Rasen stehen und das gefiel mir nicht.Der Grund, warum ich den Yuka ausgewählt habe, war zum einen die überwiegend positiven Rezensionen bei Social Media und ferner auch bei Amazon. Zum anderen der Angebotspreis von knapp 1.350 Euro. Für ein Markenmodell von Stiga und Husqvarna, geeignet für die GröÃe meines Grundstückes, zahle ich etwa das Doppelte. Das Budget gab das schlichtweg nicht her. Andere Marken mit kabellosen Systemen sei es RTK oder Lidar fielen bei mir aufgrund der mittelmäÃigen bis schlechten Produkttests aus dem Raster.Ersteindruck und InstallationGeliefert wird der Yuka gut und sicher verpackt in einem bedruckten Karton. Alle Einzelteile sind schön sortiert und zusätzlich in Folie eingepackt. Eine bebilderte Kurzanleitung hilft beim Zusammenbau der einzelnen Komponenten. Befestigungsmaterial, Ersatzklingen und ein passender Schraubendreher sind im Lieferumfang enthalten. Qualitativ hinterlässt der Yuka bei mir einen wertigen Eindruck. Vom Design erinnert er mich etwas an einen Rochen. Ãberrascht war ich zudem von der GröÃe des Yuka, mein Imow ist deutlich kompakter (siehe Bildvergleich).Hat man einen geeigneten Platz für die Dockingstation und die RTK Antenne gefunden wird der Yuka aufgeladen. Den Vorgang quittiert der Roboter mit einem englischen Sprachtext. Kleiner Installationstipp von mir: die RTK Antenne sollte ausreichend WLAN Empfang haben. Mein erster Standort war augenscheinlich ungeeignet, sodass die Antenne (und damit das komplette System) nicht funktionierte. Die optional erhältliche Wandbefestigung ist im Mammotion Shop derzeit vergriffen, allerdings gibt es auch Drittanbieter die (günstigere) Lösungen anbieten. Ich denke, hier werde ich nochmal nachbessern, auch wenn der Erdspieà einen robusten Eindruck hinterlässt. RTK Antenne und Basisstation haben eine eigene Stromversorgung, was die Aufstellung (unter Beachtung des WLAN Signals für die RTK) sehr flexibel macht.Die AppFür den Betrieb wird die Mammotion App zwingend vorausgesetzt. Nach der Installation erfolgt eine Registrierung und die Planung kann beginnen. Mich überzeugt die App leider nicht. Sie reagiert bisweilen träge auf Eingaben, wirkt hier und da unübersichtlich und auch die deutsche Ãbersetzung ist an einigen Stellen ausbaufähig. Ich hoffe Mammotion bessert hier nochmal nach.Ersteinrichtung, Planung und AufgabenerstellungIst der Yuka aufgeladen, beginnt man mit der Kartierung seines Grundstückes. Ich habe mir ein paar Videos mit Tipps und Tricks bei Youtube angeschaut. Diese haben mir sehr geholfen. Ein Tipp ist zum Beispiel sein Grundstück in mehrere Mähzonen aufzuteilen und diese etwas überlappen zu lassen. Aufpassen muss man jedoch, dass später eingerichtete Sperrzonen nicht in mehrere Mähzonen fallen.Für das Kartieren einer Mähzone fährt man die Ränder mit dem Yuka ab. Das funktioniert mit der Touchbedienung am Smartphone ganz gut, allerdings sollte man eine geringere Geschwindigkeit einstellen, um die Bereiche sauberer Abfahren zu können. Es ist im Nachgang aber auch möglich, die Karte zu korrigieren, indem man die zu verändernde Grenzlinie erneut abfährt.Als nächstes habe ich die Sperrzonen der Mähfläche eingerichtet. Dafür fährt man mit dem Yuka um das entsprechende Objekt einmal herum. Die App signalisiert, wenn die Einrichtung abgeschlossen ist. Sperrzonen können im Nachgang nicht verändert, aber gelöscht und ggf. neu eingerichtet werden. Ein Tipp von einem Installationsvideo auf Youtube ist, alle Objekte, zum Beispiel Bäume etc. mit einer Sperrzone zu versehen. Die Software kann die Mähfläche dann besser berechnen.Die App bietet eine Vielzahl an Planungsmöglichkeiten. Ich habe eine Woche wie folgt durchgeplant. An drei Tagen mäht der Roboter eine Hauptfläche (Fussballfeld) und beginnt damit am Vormittag. An drei weiteren Tagen mäht er eine weitere Hauptfläche (beginnt ebenfalls vormittags). Die vier kleineren Flächen bearbeitet er an einem Tag zusammen. Zudem habe ich sie tageweise verteilt, hier fängt der Yuka aber erst am späten Nachmittag an zu mähen. Je nach eingestelltem Raster, mähen der Sperrzonengrenze usw. ändert sich der Zeitanspruch. Die App berechnet diesen bereits bei der Aufgabenerstellung. Man kann aber auch jederzeit einen separaten bzw. einmaligen Mähvorgang starten. Wäre das Programm – wie bereits erwähnt – nicht so träge, fände ich die Programmierung wirklich gut gelungen.SonstigesIn den Kollisionseinstellungen muss man abwägen. Wir haben einige herunterhängende Sträucher und Baumäste. In den Voreinstellungen (keine Kollision) umgeht der Yuka diese. An engen Stellen kommt er dann aber auch nicht weiter und sendet eine entsprechende Fehlermeldung. Nachdem ich einige Sträucher abgestützt und das Kollisionslevel auf âsanfte Berührungâ gestellt habe, funktioniert bisher alles. Bei Haustieren etc. würde ich die Voreinstellung belassen.Bisher sind bereits drei Firmware Updates dazu gekommen. Diese werden âover the airâ per W-Lan aufgespielt. Dafür fahre ich den Yuka per Smartphonesteuerung zum besten Netzempfang auf unserem Grundstück.Fazit nach etwa einer Woche:Die Installation hat mich etwas mehr beansprucht als gedacht. Hauptursächlich dafür sind mein mäÃiges Garten W-Lan, die noch schlechtere LTE Abdeckung (ich habe eine Simkarte verbaut) sowie die träge App.Sobald der Yuka eingerichtet ist und die Aufgaben erstellt sind, funktioniert er bisher stabil.Das Mähbild überzeugt mich. Ich liebe die ansprechende Optik der einzelnen Bahnen, insbesondere auf unserer kleinen Fussballfläche.Würde ich ihn Stand heute wieder kaufen? Trotz Kritik an der App, definitiv ja.Update vom 10.08.2024Der Yuka läuft jetzt seit ein paar Wochen in unveränderter Konfiguration und mit dem aktuellen Firmwareupdate 1.11.721.537. Mammotion hat mit dem Update augenscheinlich ein paar gute Ãnderungen vorgenommen. Zum Beispiel verzichtet die App jetzt darauf, andauernd auf das schwache W-Lan und / oder LTE – Signal hinzuweisen. Seitdem erhalte ich deutlich weniger Meldungen aufs Smartphone.Mit der oben angegebenen Firmwareversion läuft der Yuka bis auf eine Ausnahme (dazu weiter unten) tadellos. Die beiden Hauptflächen lasse ich jetzt längs und quer bearbeiten, das Mähbild ist für mich eine Augenweide.Nicht ganz überzeugend ist der Randschnitt. Der Yuka lässt im Vergleich zu meinem kabelgebundenen System etwas mehr Randfläche stehen. Bei ebenerdigen Ãbergängen kann man sicherlich noch feinjustieren, auf unserem Grundstück sind die Kanten / Abgrenzungen jedoch alle erhaben (Zäune, Betonabgrenzungen, Hochbeete etc.). Da ich aber auch beim alten Mähroboter mit Rasentrimmer und Co. nacharbeiten musste, stört mich das nicht weiter.Wie bereits erwähnt wollte der Yuka einmal nicht automatisch starten. Ein Blick in die App offenbarte, dass die âVision-Kameraâ verschmutzt war. Um den Mähroboter wieder zum Arbeiten zu bewegen, musste ich in der App den Scheibenwischer auslösen und die Fortsetzung der Aufgabe auslösen. Hier würde ich mir wünschen, dass der Yuka den Scheibenwischer automatisch auslöst, um das System wieder einsatzklar zu bekommen.Fazit:Das letzte Firmware-Update hat bei meinem Modell nochmal für zusätzliche Stabilität gesorgt. Dementsprechend hat sich nichts an meiner Kaufentscheidung geändert.Update vom 30.08.2024Wir waren jetzt auswärts für zehn Tage im Urlaub. Am zweiten Tag unserer Reise hat sich der Yuka augenscheinlich an einem heruntergefallen Apfel festgefahren und abgeschaltet. Per Fernzugriff lieà er sich nicht mehr verbinden geschweige denn ansteuern. Nach unserer Rückkehr habe ich ihn per An-/ Ausschalter am Gehäuse wieder starten müssen. AnschlieÃend hatte ich Zugriff per App. Aus meiner Sicht verspielt der Yuka hier sein Potential. Dank Fernsteuerung und Kamerazugriff liesse er sich sicherlich aus einigen festgefahrenen Situationen befreien. Das klappt aber nur, sofern ich jederzeit per App Zugriff auf das Gerät habe.Positiv zu erwähnen ist, dass Mammotion mit dem Firmware Update 1.11.721.550 dafür gesorgt hat, dass der Scheibenwischer vor Arbeitsbeginn automatisch startet. Die Problematik der verschmutzten Kamera (siehe Update 10.08.2024) sollte damit hinfällig sein.Fazit:Nach und nach verbessern die Firmware-Updates die Performance des Yuka. Ich hoffe Mammotion legt nochmal im Bereich des Fernzugriffes nach. Ansonsten bin ich weiterhin zufrieden.
