A very lightweight show rack
We have a lot of shoes, and need lots of shoe racks. We have used the same type of shoe rack for years, so we thought we would try out this Z&L HOUSE 4-Tier stackable Shoe Rack for our closet.All the parts were there, and everything fit together well. Our only complaint is that is it somewhat flimsy. It is made from bamboo, which is what we wanted, but since it does not have a stabilizing bar in the center, the shelves sag in the middle if you put any weight on it at all. Plus, shoe boxes, or larger size shoes, will stick out the front by an inch or two. I attached a picture to show this.So….if you are only going to put smaller, flatter walking shoes without boxes on this rack you are all good. If you have bigger shoes, golf shoes, or high top sneakers you might not want this. But for the money, this is a nice shoe rack.Recommended.

Functional and Stylish Shoe Rack – But Slightly Lower Build Quality
This shoe rack looks great and does exactly what it’s supposed to—keeps my shoes organized and off the floor. It’s easy to assemble, fits nicely in small spaces, and has a clean, modern look that works well with most home setups.That said, it does feel a bit on the lower quality side in terms of materials. It holds up fine for now, but I wouldn’t overload it or expect it to last forever. Still, for the price and functionality, it’s a good buy if you need a simple storage solution.

Cheap manufacturing, but workable
This is very simple to put together. The package comes with extra dowels, an extra screw, four protective cushions for the feet, and a hex key (allen wrench). It’s fairly straightforward how to assemble, but the included illustrations are helpful, although not clear about which end of the legs should be up. The good thing is that there are multiple ways to put this together, so you can deviate from the instructions and still have workable shelves.First, each shelf has a hinge in the middle, which seems like an odd design choice as it seems like this would increase the cost of manufacturing and weaken the shelf, but maybe there is a good reason for it, other than shipping in a smaller box. The hinges are attached with crosshead screws, but a matching screwdriver is not included. This was a problem for me for several reasons (which all come back to that cheap manufacturing I mentioned). The screws were crooked and not fully tightened, the hinges weren’t flush with the wood, and the hinge placement was off, causing the shelf to be unable to open all the way to lay flat. Fortunately, I had a small screwdriver with me and did what I could to correct those issues.Next point to note: all the hardware is bright, shiny silver which doesn’t blend in with the black wood. If I wanted this shelf out in the open, that would be a dealbreaker for me because it looks tacky (to me). I’m using this under a desk, and no one but me should ever see it, so I’m okay with it. Similarly, the paint job is pretty haphazard. You may be able to see in the pictures, but the paint is very thin in places, too thick in other places, and there are drips.Next, if the shelf heights are listed somewhere on the product page, I missed it. The space from the floor to the first shelf is about 4.75 inches, and the other two shelf spaces are around 6 inches. This works for low shoes, sneakers, sandals, etc, but boots and taller shoes can only go on the top shelf. That’s too bad, as boots tend to be the heaviest and these shelves feel like they could be knocked over by a feather.Which brings me to my last point, and probably the most important: these shelves just feel flimsy. I know it’s bamboo and bamboo is light, but seriously. I thought the whole thing might collapse under the weight of just a single pair of shoes (thankfully, they didn’t), so I’m not sure how long this will actually last. The legs are just barely uneven, so you might need to use a small shim to make it level. The top shelf is not attached at all to the other two, it just sits on four dowels, so if you need to pick the shelves up, you have to make sure you hold the lower legs, not the upper.All these aspects combine to make these shelves just seem… flimsy.TL;DR The shelves are flimsy and cheaply made; don’t put anything heavy on them.

Flimsy, not good quality. Can get far better and cheaper at Bunnings.
