Advised the cutout size: 4 inch (Cut hole 4.25”), 6 inch ( Cut hole 6.29”), 8 inch (Cut hole 8.15″).

(2)Can the light be placed in wet or damp areas such as bathrooms or outdoor?

The light is damp-rated, which means it will be suitable for damp locations like bathrooms or under the outdoor eaves. But that does not mean waterproof. So it is best to install it above the shower to avoid direct contact with water.
