Good product
After reading some of the recent reviews of this product, I had to put up my own review. The original Bed Buddy was awesome, but they sold to Carex brand. It’s still a good product. I heat mine at 1 minute (in a 1000-watt microwave) which I think is still over what you’re supposed to heat them at, but it hasn’t caught fire. When it has cooled down to barely warm, I will reheat at 1 minute again. Read the directions, don’t heat and reheat too close together. I have never had one burn up or catch fire in the microwave. I also have an electric neck warmer that has settings 1-9 and how many hours you want it to be on by another company. I use it at the pc. With these two, I’m covered. The neck warmer is not meant to be HOT. Its purpose is to warm your muscles slightly. It relieves stiffness, and pain. It is comfortable to wear all day, even as it cools; the weight is actually comforting. The wrap does have handles which don’t seem needed. The wrap, even without burning up, will eventually wear out and should be replaced if it smells like it has been cooking. It does not have beads. Make sure the microwave turn table is clean before heating. The stitching keeps the filling in place and is very helpful. The price has increased since Bed Buddy sold it years ago: originally it was $9.95, now the list price appears to have gone up to $12.95. I have tried other neck wraps but always come back to this one. Don’t expect it to last forever and try not to burn it up 🙂

Great for any Pain & Follow Heating Instructions !
I have used âBed Buddysâ for at least 15 years. They are WONDERFUL for pain anywhere! I Also Using them ââUP NORTHâ to take to bed & place to get ride of pain & TO STAY WARM!They will last you MANY years SO I BUY LONG TUBE SOCKS TO PUT THEM IN- That way you can take them out -occasionally -to wash that COVERING! It works great! They smell wonderful & that does not change UNLESS YOU ARE IMPATIENT & cook them too long! Follow the directions in package. 1 do 1 minute & then 10 second intervals for 30 sec more at the most ! You will finally know how long ( 1 to 1-1/2 min). Micros are different & the âBuddyâ -may be cool or warmer -due to your house temp! The round rope (Braided type handles) are the best type & make sure they are original âBed Buddies. Great Pricing from Amazon too! I use every night in the Winter!! ððð with whatâs in them- they constantly put out âMoist Heatâ If your area is âDryâ (AZ) -you may need to take it into the Bathroom Area – to recapture âMoisture in the Airâ! My Favorite product -Now at Amazon ð

A good product that works extremely well, I would not be without one for our home!
I have owned the original bed buddy for about 18+ years. It finally developed a few holes and of course the packing material began leaking out. I found this new design and I hesitated to buy it based on the poor ratings by some of the reviewers. Finally I purchased it and I am glad I did.This newer design is different but still good. I am a big man and I use the bed buddy on my neck, shoulders and biceps. This new one still fits around my neck. It does have two channels filled with the same type of filler as the original bed buddy and it works just as well. In our medium strength microwave we have to heat this new one at 2 minutes and 30 seconds to 3 minutes which is identical to the original one we had. The new one stays warm for almost as long as the original and the only difference is that perhaps the original had more filler in it.The original came with a cotton tube that the bed buddy fits into to help keep it cleaner. Fortunately when I threw away the old bed buddy last week I saved the tube and it fits the new bed buddy perfectly. I do wish the new one came with the tube as it keeps the bed buddy cleaner and it also helps to protect you from possible burns if the bed buddy is to hot or has hot spots from your microwave.If the original bed buddy was a 5 star product, and in my opinion it was, then this one is at least a 4 star. It works the same, heats as well and smells like fresh baked bread just like to original. It also fits my big neck to help relieve sore muscles after working out with weights. I can’t tell the difference in the length between the original and this one but the new one is slightly shorter, a couple of inches at most. This new one is still flexible and wraps easily around your body. The new dual tube design helps keep the filling material more evenly distributed along the length of the entire bed buddy which is a benefit. The older design tended to get spots where there was no filler in certain areas, like the middle, based upon how it wrapped around my neck. The only real negative for me is the lack of the original bed buddy tube for the outside.I like this product and I gave it a 4 star. I am happy that I purchased it and I will buy another one. It is the best product I have found for my stiff arthritic neck and I recommend it for that problem. It is ideal for stiff muscles or just warming up and loosening up your body.Just a couple of warnings. I see that people want to wash the bed buddy. Don’t do it. Take a large tube sock and put the bed buddy in it and heat it that way. It stays cleaner, as the bed buddy doesn’t touch your skin, and you can remove the sock and wash the sock to get it clean and put it back onto the bed buddy.I see where people want to wet the bed buddy and heat it for moist heat. ABSOLUTELY NOT! It takes 9 times the energy to make steam as it does to boil water. You risk severe burns if you wet the bed buddy and then heat it. In addition you will damage the product by damaging the filler material.I liked this product so much that I have now purchased 2 more. I gave one to my 90 year old mother in law and 87 year old father in law and I gave one to my son for his back!Every time I go over to see my in laws, one of them is using the bed buddy. They love it!

Use it for neck problems
I have a spastic neck muscle thatâs causing my vision to be blurry. I heat this wrap up in microwave and use it around my neck. I love the handles on it so I donât have to touch the hot part. Handles donât get hot. Has a smell but to me alot of warming things like this do.

Awesome hear wrap
This is a wonderful heat wrap. I like that it can be moist heat also and can wrap around my neck a bit. It helps my migraines and cervical dystonia feel better. I have not used it cold yet.

Inventor deserves the equivalent to the Nobel Prize of pain remedies.
These things just work so well. Whoever first came up with this idea really deserves the equivalent of the Nobel Prize for pain remedies. Inexpensive. Simple. Just keep it clean in a handy area. Heat as directed. the contents seem to just cuddle your neck and shoulders with just the right amount of slight weight to sink the soothing heat right into your aches and pains in neck and shoulders. Price is right. They last a long time.

Smells like KFC
Works okay. Gets pretty hot if you’re not careful, but cools pretty quickly. Not a deep heat. Smells like an old bucket of KFC (extra crispy recipe) when heated. I will be sure to only heat 1.5 minutes because it may burn as hot as it gets. Likely won’t buy exactly the same one again.
