Great for the price.
It’s so expensive to go to the salon. I only wanted to go to my niece, but when she decided to only do hair I didn’t want to go to anyone else. My nails chip so bad that gel polish is the only thing that allow my nails to grow. So far I’ve done my nails twice and they’ve looked so nice. Yes, the bottles are small but, the colors are great and easy to use.

Great starter kit.
This is SO fun. This is a great gift set, definitely not something for a pro or seasoned manicurist or someone looking for salon-quality at home manicures. However, it’s great for an enthusiast or someone looking to get started doing their own designing without paying salon prices. The set I got came with a ton of small (very small) bottles of polish, as well as matte, shiny, and glitter top coats and a base coat. The UV light is surprisingly great quality, and turns on automatically when a hand is inserted, you can also set the timer to various seconds in order to get the right amount of cure. It cures the polish evenly and I didn’t need to set it in there for more than once or twice per hand in order to cure each layer. (Remember: the polish will stay sticky between cures until the top coat is on… I thought I was doing something wrong until I looked it up.) The polish consistency is nice and thick without being pasty and dries quickly without being sheer after one coat, but you will want to make your layers thin so they cure properly and aren’t sticky. I polished both my hands and after one day of wear I do see some chipping on one finger, but that could definitely be down to user error and not necessarily the quality of the polish. One thing I did notice is that first, some of the color dot labels on the bottles are a little faded or not printed well, so it was hard to tell what some of the colors were. Second, the dots do not look like they are adhered very well, so I’m concerned about the stickers falling off at some point and then I’ll have no idea what color is in the bottle. Even those things aside, I’ll certainly have fun playing with this set in order to save money getting a manicure.

Almost a complete set, amazing starter!
This is a HUGE set!! I was overwhelmed when opening the million boxes of polish.. keep in mind, these are not standard sized polishes⦠theyâre much much smaller. And theyâre in plastic containers, not the typical glass. Youâll get a few uses out of them for sure, but theyâre not big. So far the polish quality has been decent. For a starter set, this is good because youâre not spending a ton of money on everything needed, just to find out that your teen doesnât really WANT to do it anymore! Youâll need a few things though.. youâll want a primer and dehydrator. I guess you donât NEED them.. but the gel will stay on longer. Youâll want to get maybe some cuticle remover too. But if youâre just looking to pant with gel, this set will get you started.The UV lamp is HUGE!! Awesome value just in the lamp itself!! Itâs a huge output too. Much more than necessary, but itâs fine. Itâs very easy to use.The massive amount of polis options means many may different colors. But some of these are just glitter, so donât think youâre getting 55 different straight up colors. Overall this is a huge win for a teen that is asking about getting into nails. Heck, Iâm 45 and starting this journey.

Amazing gel nails kit at a great price!
This kit is amazing especially for the listing price. It comes with a UV light + so many small bottles of colors + other accessories. I used most tools in the set, the base and top coats and a color for a manicure. The paint itself was a very nice formula to work with. It went on easily and smoothly. I used 2 coats of the color polish on top of the base coat, top coat to finish it off and cured each layer under the UV lamp 60-120 seconds. My nails were completely dry by the end, no need to wipe them off with alcohol.The result is very shiny nails with even, richly pigmented coloring.I am impressed with how well the lamp cured my nails. Iâm also impressed with the quality of the gel paints. They are so pigmented and a great consistency. Tip: if you ever feel like your nails are sticky after youâve cured them 2x60sec., wipe them with an alcohol wipe or acetone saturated lint free cotton round/wipe.I am thrilled with this kit and think it would make the perfect gift for anyone who does home manicures on themself or others.

Complete set of the basic tools to do simple gel manicures
You get 55 gel colors with 5 topcoats for $39.99, pretty good value. This set has some pros and cons, though the cons are fairly minimal.On the pro side: comes with a full sized UV curing lamp and a plethora of wonderful colors, as well as all the brushes and tools you will need to do basic gel nail manicures.On the con side: nail color bottles are labeled on the lid with numbers, and while some of them have a decent representation of the color inside on the lid, it seems a bit hit or miss. The included acrylic nail bases are very cheap and plastic, but would make excellent practice pallets while you work out your techniques. So that’s either a con or a pro depending on your needs.Overall it’s a complete set of the basic tools to do simple gel manicures, as well as a few accent gems and pearls to help bring some pizzaz to your finger tips.
