For a budget locking rack This is Good. I have it on my own car. This is not a Yakima $1500.00 rack or high end rack by far; but it locks and carries my bikes well. Will see how it does in the long run. Right now I am happy with it.

Buyer Beware
This is my 2nd review, after 3 months of use. At first unit was great, but after a long trip all the welds either cracked or broke. One was so bad I all most lost a bike on the Interest. The lock on one of the holding supports broke and fell out. One of the holding supports failed all together. The supports also rubbed off the paint on both bikes due to vibration. The padding acted like sand paper. The bike supports need to be beefed up and more solid. If use for short trips, this unit is ok, but not cross country.

The best for us ! Key locks for hitch and bike stabilizers
I researched my butt off and found this item to be best for us. Others are much heavier and our bikes aren’t that heavy, and don’t have huge tires. Hubby put it together within one hour. Does NOT stick out on sides of Toyota 4 runner. Locks are perfect for hitch and stabilizing bars, which are adjustable. I drove around the driveway and slight bounce but we feel it’s secure. Many adjustable parts for sizing. FYI men’s bike goes where longer curved stabilizer bar is, and women’s bike with shorter curved stabilizer bar. Sticks out from back of car approximately 4 feet, so careful while driving. Great hinge mechanism for loading, storing or opening my trunk door which lifts up. This item had only like 3 or 4 reviews but all were great, unlike other products which had hundreds of reviews but mixed opinions. I thank God for leading me to the best one for us !

Always read the fine print….
We purchased this as it said it was for use with eBikes. Technically it is however if the bike you have is a “Step Through” you will have to purchase an adapter because the post that has the locking mechanism doesn’t have enough slots lower on the post to lock it securely in place. We did not read the fine print and rather than purchasing the adapter my husband modified it so that we can move the post down. Obviously not recommended. Wish that it came with it rather than purchasing separately.

It works good for the most part, but when adjusting the bars, it doesnât work perfectly – and there is still room for improvement on these. I was able to make it work just adding a tie down though.

Bought this rack a month and a half ago. Have done 3 trips with it so far with no issues. The separation spacing is good and it holds 2 ebikes with fat tires up to 200 lbs total, but easily adjusts for standard bikes as well. The hitch receiver bar is long at 18 inches, so it brings the rack out far enough to clear the bumper mounted spare trailer tire.It comes with an anti-rattle bracket that makes a huge difference. The fold up and tilt down features is really nice and easy to use.I added 2 tail/brake lights (see pic, also ordered from Amazon) since the bikes tend to block the trailer lights a bit. I also use a cheap large BBQ cover to cover the bikes when travelling.Will see how it holds up the rest of the season. It is very sturdy and I like how the tires are held in by the adjustable cradles, but they actually sit on the cross frames to support the weight, not just on the cradles as some racks do.The finish is not bad but could be improved more so it doesn’t scratch as easy. The steel is pretty strong and should last.Will update at the end of the season.
