Not as shown in picture but FastCap made it right
Only came with one black rubber roller and one metal roller instead of 2 each.UPDATEI contacted the vendor and they referred me to Amazon. Amazon sent a complete unit and wanted me to print out a label to send it back (instead of just sending me the parts I needed) I didn’t have a chance to get paper and ink so I missed the window and they charged me for the replacement. To me, it’s making me take an hour of my time and spending 60 on ink and a ream of paper which I really didn’t need, drive around town to deliver it… I finally got the paper and ink but by then was too late and they wouldn’t let me print the label. It was their packaging that failed, so don’t see how it’s my responsibility to fix it. They way I see it, the deal we had was they send me what I ordered not me having to send stuff back if it doesn’t come complete. In other words, they really just should have fulfilled their obligation and send the missing rollers.I thought I would contact FastCap just in case, send an email to them this morning and got confirmation the same day they will send the missing rollers with their next mail cycle. THANK YOU FASTCAP for being awesome and fair!! I’m going to update the star rating from 1 to 5 because of FastCap’s customer service. I also bought 500′ of their edgebanding from another local vender, their carbide trimmer, 32mm tape, fastbreak, and some other stuff within that last couple weeks and been happy with all of it.Zero stars for Amazon and the vendor for expecting me to put in so much effort to fix their mistake. I now have 2 of these rollers but that’s okay.As far as the function of the roller, it works great. I put a 3/4″ dado in a 4×4 and have that clamped to a table so I can slide the piece to be banded in the slot. The 250′ box of banding to the side the threads through where the clamp holds the 4×4 so don’t have to measure. Pull tape, cut with scissors, uncurl it, apply, a couple rolls from roller, cut ends flush, then roll for a count of 16 back and forth. The only issue I had was the roller would discolor the white banding for the first 200′ but came off with denatured alcohol on a cloth. I recommend this tool, the carbide trimmer, and the fastbreak.

Quick, effective, and safe Edgeband Roller
so handy. No chance of slipping off sideways compared to using a J-roller.. I like the small radius rollers. When you go off the edge of a shelf edge for instance it goes over the edge enough to assure good pressure but does not break the edge banding no splinters… It really does minimize the chance of getting cuts on the finger because your hand is firmly planted on the wide handle. Easier on the wrist too, as with J-rollers you have to hold that skinny handle while applying pressure. expensive,, but worth the money if you do a fair amount of edging..

Quality product
I like the ‘heft’ of this – I have a plastic roller, but this feels more substantial, and not just with the weight, it has wider rollers so it is easier to apply pressure to the laminate. Also, the dual rollers is nice for allowing more distributed pressure. I recognized the other reviews that said the metal rollers may leave a mark on the edging. On stick on edging, and with keeping the rollers clean, I had no issue. Only 4 stars? Because I ‘wish’ it was less expensive. But, I’m happy with the purchase, and now it’s the only roller I use, so, I guess that means I’d buy again.

Simple Tool, but Well-Built and Effective
This tool has really enhanced the quality of my edge banding. It’s such a simple concept, but it really works, especially if you use it when the glue is still hot. It gave me a more professional, finished look.

Just what the doctor ordered
As a professional carpenters that laminate on a regular basis i have had a lot of shoulder issues. This roller creates a Ergonomic force that reduces the strain when using this roller. Normal rollers have a handle and need two hands to use.Great professional tool good value for the moneyHave purchased several, my co workers have also switched over to these.

Nice and heavy, smooth, works well
I’m new to edge banding so I don’t have any reference, but I bought this roller instead of a simpler J roller. I’m glad I did.The heavy weight is nice–you can roll it smoothly across the edge with plenty of pressure. The wide dual rollers seem to save time and provide constant pressure and make it easy to slide across the edge banding. The only caveat is that you have to be very careful near the ends of the wood. If the roller goes over the edge / corner, it will crack any overhanging banding. Other than that, it works great.

Does a great job, but a cheaper handle roller may work just as well for occasional users
I purchased real cherry hardwood FastCap veneer to apply to the front edges of about two dozen plywood shelves. This roller came highly recommended so I purchased it as well. The job went smoothly, with one exception: the rubber rollers left black marks on the first veneer. I purchased this roller specifically to get the rubber rollers, so I didn’t just want to swap in the harder steel rollers that are also included. The problem was solved by placing a piece of paper or plastic over the veneer before rolling it.Overall, the Speed Roller did the job well. The dual rollers make it easy to apply firm, even pressure onto the veneer, which is crucial to get good results. If I was applying veneer frequently, I would unhesitatingly use and recommend this product. However, given that I only had one job to do, and that I had to protect the veneer from the black rubber, I can help but think that a simple wooden roller would have been just as good a solution for me. I’m thinking about something like this: MARSHALLTOWN The Premier Line E54D 2-Inch Flat Commercial Grade Solid Rubber Seam Roller with DuraSoft Handle

I have lots of fast caps products and there fantastic, this edge band roller is amazing. Itâs got a low wide body stance to it which is really easy to control and apply pressure as needed . It comes with two sets of wheels for different applications which is great and very easy to change out, I would highly recommend this to anyone to have in your tool line up . Check out there tape measure as well .

I bought this to replace a small rubber J-roller that I was using that was a pain in the butt to use, would sometimes slip off the edge and was awkward to use. The Speed Roller Pro is smooth, well weighted, much more comfortable and natural to use and having the option between steel or rubber rollers is awesome! My only complaint is like what some others have said, it is all made of plastic. One of the rollers was not spinning properly and I noticed that it was ever so slightly rubbing against an end, so I threw the heat gun on it for a slight second, bent the end out a tiny bit and now it rolls like a skateboard! The plastic is actually better than I thought it was (but not the strongest there is). My only worry is that if you were to change out the rollers often it may wear out their slots.Got it on sale so in all very happy with my purchase!
