Easy to use
It is easy to put together.I needed something to pick up pine needles and this does a great job.It took me a lot less time to clean up my yard than using a rake and I don’t have to bend over so much. This is important for an older person, which I am oneð.The only criticism is that if the lawn is uneven does not pick up the pine needles well

It Does Work But Do Not Expect Perfection
My wife does most of the raking in the fall (don’t judge me). She saw this device and said she wanted to try it. I was skeptical, especially after reading some of the reviews. But, she’s my wife, she rakes, and we all can see a losing battle in advance once you’ve been married long enough (50 years this year for us). So, ordered it, and here’s what I think (as well as input from my wife).1. Easy to put together (Yes it was)2. Does pick up leaves (Yes it does)3. You may have to go over the leaves more than once to get most of them (Who cares, it’s easier than raking)4. Very lightweight (Yes, it is)5. Adjustable height (Yes)6. Somewhat easy to empty (You say that because you’re not doing it, I find it very easy to empty)7. I was wrong to be skeptical (Yes, you were and if you weren’t so nitpicky you’d have given it 5 stars)

Works Well – but be realistic
TLDR; This works really well if you are realistic about how many leaves you need it to pick up in a single pass and is for sure faster than raking. Can recommend for anyone who has issues with the process of raking due to pain. Works well with a leaf shredder.Full Review:This works really well but like the title says, you need to be realistic. It is not going to pick up a mount of leaves in a single stroke. You have to set it up correctly to the height of how many leaves and you may have to make a few passes. But once you get it dialed in its phenomenal. I normally have issues with back strain and with repetitive motions, but with this I actually found that I only had to take one break.If you look at the first and second images, they are after my neighbor took a mower and got it in a line for me (he is a really nice guy) from two different angles. This actually helped me gauge how tall of a pile it could pick up. And what I found is that if configured correctly (setting the height) you can pick up to about half an inch thick of leaves. This will leave some leaves behind as you go but thats easy to get on second pass. The other images show progression of one hour and then when I thought I was done. This in total took me about 1 hour and 27 minutes. Normally it takes me about 4-6 hours to just clean up that many leaves. So I can say without any bias that this does work if your realistic.One thing to note is that while it does pick up well, due to my initial error in height adjustment, I had to pull leaves into the retainer. Speaking of the retainer, it needs to be emptied when leaves are touching the bar, or a little before. If you do not, it will be a lot harder to get the leaves into one of those brown bags for the curb.If you have a small yard or only 1 tree this can work really well. Larger yards or more trees may benefit more from taking a mower to it first. This will get the leaves down to a more manageable amount. Also one thing I would recommend is if you are low on bags or just want to be efficient get yourself one of those leaf shredders. It will make containing the leaves this picks of a lot easier and will be space efficient.

It picks up leaves
This does what it needs to: picks up leaves. However I do think itâs overpriced even getting it on prime day still $140 (-1 star). Itâs very light weight and easy to put together.Things to keep in mind:It works best if grass is dry and ALL even growth, ideally short grass- otherwise you find yourself having to constantly adjust the height of the little plastic âhairsâ that pick up the leaves (-1 star). You shouldnât force it or youâll mess up the hairs. It doesnât leave a spot completely leaf free with one pass, requires multiple passes. The bag also doesnât hold many leaves which I find crucial considering youâll have to keep emptying it way more often (-1 star).Finally itâs a cute tool to have and probably does save some time from raking. Itâs more fun than raking and because itâs so light weight and easy to do, a kid can probably do it. If you donât mind that itâs overpriced then get it!

Not great. Instant regret purchase.
Product material and ease of assembly are good. That’s about where it ends. Only picks up dry leaves and there has to be the right amount in the ground for it it to effectively collect (not too many, not too few). I suppose this is ideal for someone with a very small yard. Requires multiple passes and flthe collection bin fills up quickly. It ended up being less effective than just using a standard rake.Also stores very awkwardly. I’m constantly trying to get it to lean and it just finds ways to fall over forward or backward.I regret buying this product.

Works okay for picking up a thin layer of leaves, but the collector jams up quickly when you try to push it through a thick layer, even at the highest setting.

Ero un po’ scettico ma alla fine ho deciso di acquistarlo…. Molto semplice da assemblare in circa 5 minuti. L’ho subito provato e sono rimasto sbalordito dalla praticità di utilizzo ma soprattutto dal risultato nella raccolta delle foglie. Ho una pianta enorme in giardino che con la stagione autunnale lascia giù una marea di foglie!! Con il rastrello a mano ci mettevo una vita e soprattutto si fa un po’ di fatica ma ora con questo Gardena è tutto velocissimo e piacevole. Prossimamente farò l’ottimizzazione che si vede girando in rete installando con del biadesivo nella parte anteriore un profilo di plastica flessibile per migliorare il più possibile il ritorno delle foglie in avanti.Avendo il robot rasaerba d’estate cerco di raccogliere le foglie che si depositano lungo la siepe altrimenti passandoci sopra le triterebbe (che non è il massimo da vedere e con tendenza a produrre ancora piu “feltro nel prato”….) inoltre le lame del robot perderebbero molto prima il “filo” anticipando la loro sostituzione.Che dire….non è mai stato così piacevole e veloce raccogliere le foglie in giardino.Ho altri prodotti della Gardena e devo dire che qualitativamente sono prodotti molto validi e robusti e a me piacciono anche a livello estetico.Insomma, consiglio vivamente l’acquisto!!

He quedado impresionado de su efectividad. Lo compré con muchas dudas pues lo necesitaba para recoger pinaza ( hojas de pino) y en muchos comentarios decian que no sierve. Pues si sirve, vamos si lo hace. Tengo 200 metros de cesped artificial y gracias a este recogedor los puedo tener limpios. Ha convertido una tarea tediosa y cansada en algo que roza lo divertido. Evidente que con una sola pasada no basta, debes hacer más y nunca va a quedar perfecto pero su función la cumple sobradamente. No lo recomendarÃa para espacios pequeños, no vale la pena y su efectividad agumenta si llevas “carrerilla”.Lo volverÃa a comprar sin dudas.
