Why did you pick this product vs others?:Best brand available Charging speed:Charges fast. It can be charged in the house, the car, or with a solar Power:I was able to watch tv, power my internet, charge phones, use small kitchen appliances During a 12 hour Power outage. I still had 23% charge left when Power was restored

EXPENSIVE BUT RELIABLE
GENERAC IS DEFINITELY QUALITY. This power pack is something my husband and I (senior citizens) can lift and move where needed. We live in a rural area and it’s not uncommon to lose power for short periods..perfect to watch TV and keep electronics charged up or run a fan.

BUYER BEWARE: Bad unit? You are on your own!
I just got this unit and right out of the box, I noticed that it will not charge with the AC plug. The unit powers up, but then goes dark after 2 min. I thought it was normal, but apparently not. After multiple outlets and attempts to charge this, the unit will still not budge.I called customer support (GENERAC), and was SHOCKED to see that they don’t have any insight either, apart from the elementary troubleshooting that was already done (are your outlets working, did you try other outlets, etc.). They asked me to take the unit to a retailer, and the retailer has a $60 check in fee and 2 month wait! I bought this right in the middle of hurricane season and now I am stuck with a dud that amazon won’t take back! Buyer beware!I went with Generac given their reputation, but now I don’t trust them as much. If they can mess up a product like this, how to trust this company for anything else? From quality control to customer support this is a mess!

Happy with our purchase
We purchased this for use at our camp, it works good for running lights and charging phones but running coffee pot or anything else that pulls a lot of electricity drains the battery. It’s very quiet and charges in less than a day which is nice! It is lighter than a gas generator which makes it easier to move around.

Must Have!
While it is a bit pricey, it is very powerful, easily carried, and can be used indoors without issue. Have used it several times and it can run almost everything. Great for emergencies or just camping.
