The soft microfins gently smooth and stretch skin while the microcomb guides hair to the blade. These blade refills feature our thinnest blades and a precision trimmer which is perfect for hard-to-reach places and styling facial hair. Got this razor for my sonâs first shave. Big moment. Emotional. shockingly good! great for sensitive baldies
wow! i had very low expectations given poor experiences with disposable blades in the past. i have curly part African hair and can get ingrowns easily when shaving my head. iâve tried many many different kinds of razors and trimmers. so far the best have been double edged safety razors and Andis or Walsh outliner / detailer style trimmers.i tried this gillette out purely for travel as itâs difficult to fly overseas with DE safety blades. anyway cue my shock when it turns out this gave perhaps the best shave of my life. pretty darn close without being too close for ingrowns. zero irritation! no stinging when washing off shaving cream. no cuts or nicks which was super common for me when using single blade Bic âsensitiveâ razors. plus each blade has a slippery gel bar on it that helps tremendously. the third blade on the side helps with around the ears.this also worked really well for some âmanhoodâ grooming⦠if you know what i mean lol.anyways if my experience sounds like yours, you gotta try it. the only downside for me is the refill price is high. just know that it might be worth it.ultimately this goes to show what a big companyâs R&D department can pull off.

Best shave ever
I’m skeptical about product “innovations.” I tend to find something that works and stick with it, for years-decades. I’d tried 4-5 blade razors before and found them too fat and awkward to use. But this is an exception (even though it really only has the two blades separated by a cushion). When it was clear my traditional two-blade model was being manufactured more and more cheaply, causing cuts and nicks more often than not, especially on my aging skin, I was willing to give this a try. Amazing. I shave in the shower with no mirror, all by feel. After a few tentative tries with it, I’m now sold on this special Gillette model. It feels as close as my old one ever was, yet I have no worries of bloody cuts, nicks, or burns. Cautiously also tried the little single blade at the top of the reversed side of the head. Worked great under nose and at sideburns when done gingerly. I can shave against the grain of the beard without concern. I hope they don’t get me addicted to this then have some marketing genius who decides to discontinue it or cheapen its production in the future to increase profit margins. And, yes, this is more expensive, but seems worth it.

Keep the blades but leave the handle
I like the blades a lot. As mentioned, you won’t get as close of a shave but it definitely reduces the burn. Only gripe is that the handle that comes with it is thin and cheap feeling. Thankfully Gillette makes their blades and handles universal so I was able to use these blades with my Fusion pro glide handle.

Awesome razors
These razors where best choice i ever made. As I aged my skin began to get irritated to a point of dermal abrasion and I tried to treat it with various products and new ways to shave. A simple search for sensitive skin razors likened these and they really work. No more irritation. I can shave again without rashing. Love them

Gentle and close shave
My story is like hundreds of other reviews: Iâve tried everything – soaps, moisturizers, gels, creams, blades, trimmers, etc. – but my throat and throat back of my neck always break out after face and head shaving. Iâm 46 years old and this has been an issue since I was old enough to shave. The only effective solution I have found for my throat is to trim it down to the lowest stubble possible (0.4mm on my Philips Norelco Prestige Beard Trimmer), but that still leaves me wishing for a closer shave (I typically sport a beard or goatee).For the last 10+ years I have been using the Schick Hydro Sensitive on my head and a variety of other solutions on my throat (Norelco rotary shaver, Philips OneBlade), but continue to suffer from bumps and acne. If I let the hair grow out, the bumps go away, but if I grow too long, I get itchy and break out again.So, this Skin Guard blade was basically my last attempt before giving up and just keeping very short stubble on my face (and likely switching to a head shaver that wonât cut close enough but will do the trick). I used it on my head in the same way I normally do – with Edge Sensitive shave gel – first with the grain, then against. Surprisingly, it shaved just as close as the Shock, and I definitely felt like it was a lot easier on my skin. No cuts and no blood. Unfortunately, I canât tell if the bumps I already had there were just made worse by shaving in general or if they were just still irritated from my last shave four days ago. I also shaved my throat (mostly with the grain) and cheeks (with and against) and used the blade edge trimmer (which was very effective and sharp).In the end, I agree that this is a gentler and close shave. But, whether or not it will completely eliminate razor bumps and acne for me remains to be determined.
