Easy set up and many in app functions
The set up of these lights was pretty quick an easy. Thereâs the option to screw the mounting plates into the wall or just use the adhesive on the back of the plates without screws. I found that when I didnât screw them into the wall the adhesive fell off the wall pretty quickly. But since Iâve screwed them all in I havenât had an issue.I love all of the color options and the in app features. You can set the lights to move to the best of your music, have one solid color, or have multiple colors. Thereâs various patterns and colors in the app or you can customize what you want the light strip to look like. The app is easy to use and I honestly donât use it that much now that I have the lights set how I like them.Itâs a fun and functional way to spice up any room. I love having fun lights like this in my gym. I would buy them again.

Great lights.
I love these lights, though I didn’t follow the instructions at first and had to put them up a second time.It says to actually mount them if your using them in the upper corners of a room, I originally didn’t and the sticky pads failed after about two weeks.But it came with mounting equipment and it wasn’t hard to fix it in the end. Guess that’s what I get for being lazy.Quality is great, and they can get really bright if you want them to.Only issue is some of the preprogrammed color animations seem to leave blank white spots, but when I customize it myself it works fine.

Doesn’t stay on wall
The product itself looks pretty and the lights are bright. A lot of patterns in the Govee app which is very user friendly. I usually love Govee products but this one is a major miss because the adhesive straight up does not stick on the wall unfortunately. I wish they would have put the adhesive directly on the light strip like their other products. The adhesive fell immediately and I could not use it at all.

Thereâs issues
Well letâs get started the lights are fine but there are some issues I have with them. 1) I used these for the ceiling lining and the control box is close to the light strip so that means I have control boxes about a foot down from the ceiling. Would be way better just in general (for me anyway) if you made all your boxes closer to the plug side it would be way easier to hide wires. 2) I have a set of the rope light 2 and figured it would work the same and it doesnât. I use the same color scene I made with all my lights. On this light there seems to no gradient toggle so it looks different from the rest of my lights. I will say the gradient does come through on brighter settings. Could this be fixed with an update? 3) Also the app is always slow. It has to load every time you turn on or off the lights. Where as Alexa just turns them off quickly. So thatâs not a huge deal. The one picture shows where my down lights control box is closer to the floor. The video if it comes through shows that the lining lights donât have a smooth gradient like the others. Just my thoughts on this product. I do have several Govee lights and would like them to flow the same.

Good installation hardware included
Works well. Bright and includes a generous number of clips to attach along the wall. Purchased two and was able to group them to control both with one command through Alexa / Echo device.

Cool lights but the adhesive it comes with is practically uselessIf you want to mount these without screw your going to need to buy your own double sided tape or something similar

I bought these to run along a ceiling but due to the fact it uses clips it is not ideal for that, as it wants to sag a tiny bit in between and my ocd brain canât handle that lol. I ended up using them along my baseboards and theyâre perfect.For ceilings use the strip light with covers – Iâve included a photo

This was installed between ceiling and wall. The clear support pieces are almost unnoticeable. Installation would take some time since anchors and screws are required but the end result is very satisfactory.While one strip light would not be bright enough to light up the room by itself, having it with other lighting fixtures such as lamps does give a very unique and pleasing atomsphere to the room.

Skip these, Adhesive is weak and doesn’t stick to most surfaces. The rope is all silicone so no other adhesive method works. Died in less than a month and now my walls are damaged for a product that didn’t hold and stand against time.
