Customers say

Customers find the paraffin wax machine effective for pain relief, particularly for arthritic hands and reducing inflammation. However, the machine receives mixed feedback about its functionality and quality, with some saying it works well while others report it doesn’t work at all. Moreover, the temperature control is problematic as there’s no way to adjust the heat. Additionally, customers report issues with the wax melting, noting it takes hours and doesn’t melt completely, and the machine is too hot, leading to hand burns. The value for money is also mixed, with some finding it good for the price while others consider it not worth the cost.

  1. Feeling Good is the End-All

    The ‘Spa’ woman recommended this..
I had a paraffin treatment at the spa as I was considering purchasing an expensive model. The reviews on this weren’t the best but she said it is what she uses (at home) and it is just fine,soI got it. It melted the wax the first time within 2 hours. The temperature was hot but not unbearable and it worked just fine (so far). I like the ‘ready’ light and it really doesn’t need a temp adjustment dial. The lid isn’t the most secure, but if you fiddle with it, it stays on just fine. My hands, for whatever reason, look 15 years older than the rest of me-I even considered fat injections but got scared and they last only 3-6 months at $500 or more a pop! My hands look better-not 15 yrs younger, but better and are much softer. Use a lanolin based lotion before dipping. Also, there is a fantastic paraffin hand cream on the market-it is awesome! Don’t remember the name, but got it here and it is in a dark pink tube. Between the two, hand are looking much better-can’t wait to do my feet! Good value for a basic machine.

    PLEASE READ
So, I was with so many on here who was shocked at the difficulty in melting the wax BUT after you melt it the first time, it melts within an hr or so after. My opinion, it’s hard to meltdown the first time, due to the hardener they put in it, to form the block. Let it melt throughout the night+ and obviously don’t put the tray in, until it’s melted. Then after first melt, the tray won’t matter that it’s in, it will melt and quickly. Again, I almost packaged it back up and returned it so give it a chance.

TEMPERATURE IS TOO HOT DO NOT BUY
I frequently shop on Amazon, but unfortunately, this product ranks as one of my biggest disappointments. Despite the warning signs from previous reviews, I remained optimistic due to the product’s appealing features and prompt delivery. However, my optimism was short-lived. The initial wax melting process took an excruciatingly long five hours. Even though subsequent uses slightly improved the heating time to about an hour and a half, the wax never fully melted; lumps and hardened wax around the edges were a constant issue. Furthermore, the indicator light switched off prematurely, indicating the wax was ready when it clearly wasn’t. However, this was a minor inconvenience compared to the machine’s more significant flaw: it overheats the wax to a point where it becomes dangerously hot to the touch. Following the advice of others, I had to shut off the device for 30 minutes to cool it down to a somewhat bearable temperature, only to find the surface wax beginning to harden again. This product is simply substandard and shouldn’t be on the market. I’m baffled by any positive reviews it may have received. I implore you to avoid wasting your time with this item. The wax itself is of poor quality (which I have reviewed separately), and even the included liners are subpar, breaking apart and dropping bits of wax on the floor. There’s not a single redeeming quality I can mention about this purchase. In the end, I decided to invest a bit more money in a higher quality product, also from Amazon. The difference was stark; it didn’t create a mess, effectively melted a separately purchased high-quality wax, and maintained it at a safe temperature for use.

    Poor quality
Poor quality. After just a few weeks the heating element stopped working on the left side so it only melted half of the wax. When it was working, the wax was way too hot. There was no way to adjust the heat. I would not recommend buying this item.

This wax machine works really well! It makes your hands feel so soft!
This wax machine is awesome! Takes 3 hours to melt the wax and you can use it for one hand at a time. You could also use it for one foot at a time but we haven’t tried that yet!

    messy
Was going to send it back, then decided it was fun in a way, getting your hands waxed, taking the wax fingers off! You’ll need to use all three packs of wax to have enough to cover your hands.beware it’s HOT! Don’t leave your hands immersed they will burn. Temperature was about 134You need to plan ahead or have it on a timer as it takes an hour to melt down.

One of the spookiest things in the bathroom!!
There is just something unnatural about sticking your hand into a tub of molten wax! I used to help my mother and grandmother do the canning, and one of the things we always had on the stove was a can of paraffin wax in a pan of simmering water. All the times I was warned not to touch that or terrible things would happen to me came rushing back to the front of my mind as I stood there ready to immerse my hand in the wax bath.Ever hear the phrase “For best results, read and follow directions”? This is where it strongly applies even it doesn’t anywhere else. Done properly, it actually works fairly well for short-term pain relief. This appliance took a couple of days to melt the wax, but it holds its temperature as it should.I find that when I finish dipping my hand for the 10th time, my thumb starts to feel pretty good, but it cools off fast, so the relief is short-lived. When it cools all the way, I just peel off the wax and put it back in the tub for reuse.Do I recommend it? It’s worth what it cost, but there’s no way I could try to justify one of the more expensive units. It does provide relief, but only for a short time. I’m keeping it and will continue to use it when I hurt. Your mileage may vary. This one is a good price, it works as it’s supposed to, and it does give quick relief, in my case, from arthritis.

If you have pain in your hands, you’re crazy, not to buy this
My physical therapist suggested that I buy this product and I have to say it’s just amazing that you could have such an incredible product for so little money. It’s kind of a nuisance to use and I found it a comfortable hot however, I’ve gotten used to it stinging a little bit, but it does not actually burn my hands. I will very old so I don’t have a lot of flesh to protect the bones. I sleep over so much better at night. If I do this before I go to sleep you really can’t go wrong even if you don’t use it regularly, just having it there and knowing that there is a solution, and a way to make your hands hurt less.

Love this item. Works great. I dip my hands a couple times to get a good coat, you have to angle your hand to cover all areas. Wax is warm but not intolerable, comes off easier when you have a thicker coat. 5 stars

El aparato llegó en buenas condiciones, funciona bien, la parafina queda completamente líquida, no tarda mucho en derretirla, Lo malo es que se solidifica rápido después de apagarse.

Unfortunately, the product has both quality and functional issues:The edges of the unit do not align properly, and the white base does not fit securely in its space. The wax has not fully melted even after 4 hours of continuous use. Although the green light indicates that it is ready, this is misleading and raises safety concerns. The unit appears to be single phase, which may explain why the heating is so slow. A three-phase unit would not have this issue.

Bought this to help with my hands that now have arthritis. Playing the piano with arthritis is hard and I’ve tried everything and this was my last idea. It does take 3 hrs to initially melt the wax so plan ahead. After that, 1.5 hrs. It really makes a difference. I’ve tried twice now and it really helps my hands and fingers. I was really impressed and highly recommend. I also tried it on my feet and yes, I can put my foot in there, no problem. I used as a facial on my face and it left it nice and soft. It’s like a spa at home. My only caution is that I find the wax hot on my fingers. Maybe they are more sensitive (I have Reynauds) so I have to dip quickly and carefully because of that. Highly recommend.
