Great deal on a Grass Bagger for 54 inch riding mowers
The Poulan Pro 960730026 Grass Bagger for 54-inch riding mowers was delivered in less than a week to my driveway. The package contained the 3 bag units, the large lid piece attached to a metal frame, the 2 piece plastic feeder tube, and 2 styles of mounting brackets. There are drawings of 4 different mower back panels on the instruction sheet and you will choose which mounting bracket to use based on which of the 4 panels is on your mower. My mower is a Husqvarna LGT2554 which is the 54 inch riding mower from Lowe’s. I chose the bracket for my mower which mounted easily with just a cotter pin at the bottom. Then slid the lid frame into the pipe slots as shown and hung on the 3 bags. Then added the feeder tube to the mower deck which has metal hooks attached to stretchy rubber pieces. It was a little hard to pull the hooks over to the proper holes but it fits well. After adding the top tube which connect the bottom tube to the lid, I was off to test it out. It picked up a lot of leaves and dried grass. Seemed to do a good job. I did not buy any special blades and it still sent the debris into the bags with no problem.The entire mounting process took less then 15 minutes. The bags are easy to empty because they have a loop handle on the bottom of each bag that you can grab to tip the bag upside down for emptying. This is a great unit at an awesome value !!! It’s $100 less than the big box stores and with Amazon there is free shipping and no tax !!

Quick and easy to install
This bagger arrived quicker from Amazon then the local shop could get it in and cheaper to boot.Quick and easy to install. This bagger works well and only took a short time to install. I think I spent more time opening the package, inspecting the contents and reading to be sure I had everything I needed then it took me to get this up and running. Everything fit my Husqvarna with out having to make any special adjustments.It rides secure and bags clippings and leaf fall well.

Good bagger for the bigger mowers
It installs easy and works as advertised on dry grass. Into 3rd year of hard use so far. Comes with several mounts so fits about all mower but order the one that fits your mower deck width…unlike my neighbor—dah! Be careful when backing up as you can crack the dome if you back up into a tree or a garage wall. Go ahead and buy a couple of spare rubber ‘strap and hook things’ that hold the chute to the mowing deck (look in the manual) as they stretch out after a year or so. They are cheap on amazon, so get about 6 so you have several years of backups. Check the bolts on them every month to be sure they are tight as they work loose after a month or so. Lock-tite helps. Biggest advice is to not store the mower outside as strong sun degrades the baggers dome material and isn’t good for the paint, tires or the seat on the mower either. Overall a good, solid buy! Last comment is to be careful when opening the dome to empty the bags… If you just give it a flick you will break the dome up near the hinge. I found that the best method is to flip the seat forward, pull the upper half of the chute and lay is on the mower behind the seat and then raise the dome and empty the bags. The chute part lying on the back behind the seat then provides a stop for the dome and keeps it from breaking itself. Check your time pressure at least every other mowing. I one tire gets low, it will cause ugly stripes in your yard.

Great bagger for the Hus 2005!!
I bought this bagger for my Husqvaran (sorry on spelling) 2005. I had to call the service number on the instructions to order the black metal bracket kit so that bagger can actually fit on there. The 2005 riding mowers have an slant to them so the two brackets you get will NOT fit no matter how hard you try. The bracket kit is free of charge and took about a week to ship. Didn’t have any problems ordering it. The bagger itself is good quailty. 3 bags! I have a huge yard, so it’s nice especially in the fall. It fits on well enough. It isnt designed specifically for the 2005 Hus. but it does the job. I’ve only had it for 2 months now. It got me through the fall so no more raking! It’s well worth the price and cheaper on amazon. I did my research. So 5 stars from me! P.S. While waiting for the bracket kit to ship, I used one of the brackets that came with the bagger and used tie downs to strap it to my riding mower. Worked like a charm until the other bracket shipped! My husband thought that was tacky, but he doesnt do the yard work so he can shut it. lol

54″ Bagger Review
I bought the Poulan Pro 960730026 Grass Bagger for my Husqvarna GTH2654. These two items do not play well together and this is why. The bagger arrived and I started reading the instructions on how to attach it to the tractor. Depending on the tractor, there could be 1 of 4 style plates on your tractor. Plates A, B, and D have the adapter in with the bagger, but if you have Place C like I do, you have to order a special adapter that does not come with it and will cost extra. I did contact Amazon about this and they did do a credit for that extra adapter which was really nice of them. So, the new adapter arrives, I spend about 2 – 3 hours trying to make it work, but it will not. When you look at the adapter you would think it would work, but it doesn’t. To make it work you would have to permanently remove the tractor seat and the shell or modify the adapter. So since this was of such poor design I just went ahead and returned it and will plan to buy mulching blades.

MOST BANG FOR THE BUCK
Folks, there are a few people I saw here review that this bagger was the same as the higher priced one for the Husqavarna and they were right. I bought this one for my 54 inch mower and it fit perfectly with no issues. It even came with 2 different mount brackets for the back of various tractors. Get this one for 299 with free shipping and you’ll be happy with your buy and save some money. If you’ve never bought a bagger system and you’ve been pondering it, YOU NEED TO GET ONE. These do a great job and you’ll love it especially in the fall as it makes leaf cleanup a breeze.
