Fairly easy installation
It is hard to take off the old gas cap and o-ring than replacing this one. The instructions are terrible, but a quick youtube search really helps.

Difficult to install
Its great but certainly not easy to install. My brother had to install mine . I have a 2014 Jeep Wrangler. He had to go through tail light and needed a flat piece of metal to loosen the old one . He refused to use his regular flathead screwdriver because it would have bent . He then realized the raised notch to insert into existing hole was in wrong place so he popped it off the new one to assure the piece would insert and lay flat . ( which means this cap isn’t exactly made properly for my jeep ) The gas tank cover is nice and secured no movement Entire process took over an hour. All i can say is it’s beautiful but takes a lot of time to install .

Great and Easy Mod to do.
I got this in about a week ago took and about 3 days from date of order to get it in. But I had to wait for a pretty day to install! It took maybe a total of 15 mins and most of that was just looking for my screw driver and reading over instructions. The only tools you will need is a screw driver and maybe a flat head. I have included before, during and after photos of install.You will need to save the gas tank screw on and that just pops right off the old and onto the new one. Then you have to take off tail light in order to access the tabs that you need to release from the old fuel cap, and in order to do proper install of the new rubber ring around fuel cap. I just put my tail light aside, but you can disconnect and move it out of the way. I Included a photo of inside behind the tail light and you will look for the tabs to press in with a flat head screw driver. I could only reach two tabs out of the four (two on other side) So I had to kind of pull and push until i was able to get the old cap out. That is probably the hardest part of the entire install. You take 4 out of the six screws off and remove the fuel cover from the part that is to be inserted back into opening. Once that is done your able to put the new rubber ring in the new fuel cap hole, and be sure the gas tank opening is snuggly wrapped with the rubber ring. The last part is screwing the aluminum cover back to the rest of the fuel cap.This is such an easy install to do and the instructions included give you a general idea of how you install. Over all I think Sunny D is sporting her new Fuel Tank Cap perfectly and I highly recommend getting this if your looking for a easy mod that will give your Jeep a new look!

Amazing value
Can’t believe I got this for $20. It’s not much fun removing the OEM assembly (look for instructional videos online) but I had no problem getting the new fuel door assembly installed. Hardest part was getting the rubber grommet around the fuel filler tube. Paint finish is good and it is a close match to the Stone White color of my Rubicon. The cover should help to keep dirt and mud off of the gas cap which will reduce the chance of getting debris in the gas tank. It also gives my Jeep a more finished look. I like it!

Hard to install and did not last
Honest review! Although the price point was appealing, this product did not last and peeled almost instantly. Definitely want to put something else on. It is just not easy to install or takeoff. Very disappointed in this quality and product.
