Seems well made
I bought the big one so my 2. 55 lb. Doodles could sleep on it together. There is plenty of room for them to stretch out. It’s a bit of a wrestle to get the cover on, but it fits well. The insides are firm, not super cushy, but the dogs like it. Because there is no fringe or threads, the dogs haven’t chewed on it (yet). So far, I think it is good, but it certainly isn’t cheap. But to be fair, you get what you pay for.

Great for giant breeds and destructive dogs!
Pros: 1. Generous cushion for my older Great Dane. 2. So far immune to the younger Great Dane / Greyhound mixâs destructive tendencies. 3. Washable outer cover AND washable inner liner.Cons: 1. The outer cover is a little noisy when the dogs move around. 2. Getting the cover on the bed was a two-person job.Weâve had the beds a little over a week, and theyâve outlasted every other bed by at least 5 days. I donât think the mix is even tempted by the ballistic fabric. By this measure alone, these beds are a success. Even better, the dogs seem to find them very comfortable.I bought this bed with low expectations â my 7 year old Great Dane needs a bed with a really good cushion for her older bones, but my 2 year old Great Dane / Greyhound mix destroys anything made of fabric (pillows, blankets and dog beds being favorite targets). And of course, every time she destroys a bed, she destroys two â hers and the Daneâs. Since adopting her in June, Iâve probably gone through almost $1,000 worth of beds.A few observations:I bought the Extra Large and probably could have bought just the Large as the size is very generous â sometimes they buddy up on just one bed.Two giant dogs means a lot of dog stink, and itâs nice to see two covers that are washable â the outer âballistic coverâ and the inner liner.Despite the simple-sounding instructions, getting the outer cover on was a real wrestling match â not complicated, just really snug. Once the covers are on, the beds have a nice, fitted look to them. The inner cover comes on the foam mattress and also appears snug, so we have yet to see how that goes on. As long as the covers donât shrink, I think snug fit is OK.All in all, exactly as advertised! Love them.

Chewed it up within 5 min
Well after reading the review I knew the marketing was a little thick since some dog chew through theirs but I thought I would give it a try. As others who had theirs chewed up said it works well if your dog is supervised and you are around to stop him from chewing. However, unsupervised it took my 10 month old, 62 pound black lab about 5 min alone to make a hole through it. This product is just way overpriced for what it can withstand. We decided instead to go with denim cover, for our dog it last about as long as this cover and cost 1/4 of the price of the K9 cover and you can sew it up with a standard sewing machine. We will also consider duck cotton fabric but our sewing machine can’t handle it so we might just stick with denim. All in all, I wouldn’t consider my dog a super dog he just and average mixed breed puppy and at the speed he chewed through this I was quite disappointed. I would buy the cover again if it would be at the same price level as a denim/duck cotton cover ~20$ since for our dog the durability is comparable, any other price then that is unacceptable.

Great dog bed!
I bought the Large size in green camo for my 13 year old Chocolate Lab. She is out with us around the farm a lot in the daytime, but sleeps in the insulated tack room in our horse barn at night. She was sleeping in her own stall on 6-8″ of fresh straw until we got this cushion, but she was showing signs of stiffness whenever she woke up. After her first night on the K9 bedding, she stood right up, tail wagging and trotted out to meet me. Every day is like that now – – and this from a dog who’s had one knee reconstructed, and a toe amputated for a tumor. She likes it so much that she has access to it for mid-day naps as well, and takes advantage of it most days. Although she has chewed up a couple of other cushions in the past, she has not even tried it with this one. Perhaps because there is no loose fabric to grab, or because the fabric is somewhat slick and hard to grab, or because it may be too heavy too wrestle with. Or, perhaps it’s just because she is past her 13th birthday and is finally starting to mature :)She is a large, female Lab, still very fit, and hasn’t varied from 70 lbs. since her annual vet visit as a 3-years old. I bought her the Large size cushion and it’s perfect for her to curl up, or sprawl out on. This makes a great dog bed, and I highly recommend it (in the appropriate size) for anybody’s “best friend.”
