From Klein Tools, the Grip-It Strap Wrench is completely adjustable to work in the tightest quarters. Solidly constructed of urethane-covered, high-strength belting attached to a lightweight I-beam handle. The cam-action design permits uniform, high-torque application. The Grip-It Strap Wrench is made to resist scratching, damaging or deforming polished pipe and fittings, plastic pipe and fittings, oil and water filters, glass pipe, PVC conduit, and polished shafts. Also works on alternator belts, flywheels, and propeller assemblies. Grip-It Strap Wrenches are also available in 6-Inch and 18-Inch lengths (Cat. Nos. S6HB, S18HB).

Nice tool, works as it should.
Works like it should. I have a polished ski pylon on my boat which twists in and clicks. It such a tight fit that 2 grown men could bearly turn it to release. This tool makes it easy for 1 person to turn and doesn’t mar the surface. Will keep this on my boat from now on.

Used it to tighten the large hex nut on my diy cannon.Was in a pinch needed a large wrench but I already painted my parts and didnât want to mar them up. Other reviews said itâs non marring gave it a shot and was so impressed bought smaller one too.No slippage whatsoever.Just wish it was USA Made but oh well. When you need it you need it.

Slips on smooth surfaces.
Using this tool on a smooth surface it is not possible to get a lot of torque as the strap slips. I had to wrap the tube with duct tape and then use this tool to loosen it at 60 ft/lbs of torque. Otherwise, the strap and handle are both good dimensions for general use.
