Wow Phillips!!! Who knew?
Ok – they arenât known too well for the best audio compared to some companyâs that advertise HiRes audio so the outdoor speaker products I have owned prior to buying this surprisingly kept up and surpassed one or two – like the altec Lansing rockbox XL – I went ahead and bought two for stereo pairing and WOW- the quality at low volume is amazing. Now it is not labeled HiRes but I do have a HiRes player and you CAN hear the difference flat out. The battery life has lasted two days of Christmas music in one weekend but the bottom line is – when itâs on sale â GET IT!! You wont be disappointed- it also hooks up to Siri! I found too by trial and error a perfect case for this. Itâs a Hermit case and itâs number on Amazon is B01M3699X6!! I hope this helps cause the pool never sounded better today with one on the end of the pool and the other opposite of it!!! Stereo at low volumes (and high as well) sounds awesome to me when itâs spread out like this.

I got a dud, but it got replaced. Now Iâm a believer in the sound quality Iâve been missing
This is an amazing speaker, truly. I have some qualms about it, but nothing thatâs going to take a star away. Sometimes the sound for audiobooks arenât as good as my Jteman phone stand speaker. But, overall, this is far superior of a speaker. It can be cumbersome to have to carry around when I want to just travel around from one room to another. But for audiobooks, let me say, this book does NOT cut out ANY PARTS of the story. IF Iâm going back to relisten to a part, itâs because I lost focus on what was said. Easy to do like right now when Iâm listening to my newest story, and writing up this review. I could loose a detail or two.I LOVE that I can just turn the speaker on and hit play. I forgot just HOW MUCH I loved it. I had a Tidbit, but regardless that I hadnât used to speaker except for a few times in the first year, and then set it aside and forgot about it because it was purchased as my outdoor speaker. And I got too sick to be able to HAVE that âoutdoor lifeâ that I had had when I purchased the speaker. The speaker last year went âbad.â And when reaching out to the company over it. I was told the plug was bad, and could get a 10% discount on a new one. I was thinking WHY would I want to buy a NEW one when I didnât even get a LIFE of a YEAR out of the other one?! No! Not worth the money. So I bought the Jteman while I looked into what one I really wanted to replace that speaker.I am not one to like to have to waste good products, so I forgot to ever replace it. Until my son asked me for a speaker. I was like, YES! So, back to the search I went. Now having experience with two different kinds, I had a MUCH better idea of what I wanted. I began to compare battery life because the Jteman was having to be charged nightly. I listen to my stories for HOURS in a day. So I wanted at LEAST 12 hours, if not longer. I began looking into what the IPSX vs IP67 and all of those were since I was seeing it everywhere. Wanting to know what the difference was. Still not 100% sure IF the waterproof/ dustproof is better. But for me, it seems like it would be. In all the speakers in all its fashions that Iâve seen they seem to say, âwaterproofâ but then have BIG warnings about HOW the water should be used around the speaker. This one wasnât AS cautious, and I assume thatâs because if the water gets on it, itâs nothing. You just shouldnât submerge it beyond a certain point for too long. Not an intention for me anyways, but knowing that SHOULD my clumsy self or sons spill water on it, itâs NOT death by cup.The next amazing detail to love, this battery life is 24 hours. Iâve been listening to my audiobooks about 12 hours I believe, and I STILL have two bars left on the battery. I charged it up on Sunday and began listening THAT NIGHT as I went to bed. Thatâs an AMAZING BATTERY LIFE! I keep THINKING I should be charging it because I mean, our phones we have to. Our other devices we often HAVE to at SUCH a frequent rate, but hereâs something used equally as long, and itâs STILL filled with charge! This is what you want in a power outage! Thatâs for sure! The watts of the speaker, which is NOT something Iâd REALLY EVER paid attention to before. But thank you Fender for YOUR speaker for drawing my attention to a larger watt speaker! I didnât REALIZE there was SUCH a difference. I mean, I began comparing them, even going back to my Tidbit and seeing what IT have on Jteman. Then looking at SkullCandy, and JBL speakers, and that Fender one. I mean you think ten isnât large, but then suddenly you see how some are only TWO, most sitting at four! Fender eight watts. This speaker has 40 watts. I get suspicious of course! So I look into OTHER speakers. There ARE 60 watt speakers, so itâs NOT far fetched for a 40 watt speaker to exist. The impressive thing, is that these are in Bose Speakers and others like it, and ALL that over the $150 mark! This one is $80 right now, selling for $85 other times. I mean, it feels like a steal.Hereâs an amazing âhat trickâ you can set up multiple speakers with just the hit of a button, and have impressive surround sound. OR you can link it to multiple devices and pick and choose the devices to play through the device at any one time. In all the speakers Iâve had in the past, itâs always been where you have to deselect a speaker from the Bluetooth list, and then reselect it from a new device.I wonât lie that I wish when Iâm resting, and coming out of haze of sleep. When I want to keep my eyes closed, but have some audio of some kind. But NOT have to root around electronics in order to fuss with it. Or MOVE too much to manage getting it going. Having a remote to just get it going, would be AMAZING! But, I mean, itâs so waterproof, I donât know how a remote could be effective? I mean, there is NOTHING to take away.So WHY the four out five? Well, there ARE reviews that mention how some of the speakers donât connect, or wonât play any sounds. Unfortunately, I had one that was a dud. It was clearly connected to my phone. I have the noise levels on my phone turned on. I have hearing loss, and so itâs a good recommendation. So I could see the sound moving up and down, seeing it go from green to yellow as it would from any normal story being read. I connected it to other devices, but no luck. It was just defective. I contacted Philips, but they said Iâd have to pay to get it repaired, and since it was just a day old, so they suggested reaching out to the seller. Which was Amazon, and they were AMAZING at helping me get this taking care of. I got a new one next day, and it works EXACTLY how youâd expect it to. So I figured one star for the inconvenience of it all was a fair review. But trust when I say, HAD that ONE DUD speaker NOT been in my life. This would be a complete 5/5. This is an amazing speaker, and VERY happy that I got it! IF you bang it, drop it, itâs fairly kid and clumsy person safe! And for ME, thatâs an investment worth having! I donât want to spend $80 and then have to walk around like I have a vase in my arms. This is industrious! And glad to have it!I thought the way the strap goes on, that CRAP, it will slide undone, but NOT TRUE. Itâs kept in place as Iâve had to SWING it around my body MANY of times at night so I can get packed up to travel from one area to another! Itâs not come loose yet. So though itâs NOT QUITE been a week into FULLY OWNING, considering the HOURS Iâve put into listening. Iâm sold! Iâm ready to go sell this to someone as something to invest in!Videoâs sound is taken at half way up.

Good quality speaker – can connect two devices at once
This speaker is a great value. It has good sound quality and can get loud if you want it to. Best part is that you can bind to multiple computers at once. I have two desktop computers sharing this speaker wirelessly without having to re-bind them. The only downside is that after 15 minutes of not being used, the speaker turns off and I don’t see any way to keep it on. Even while powered from the wall it shuts off after 15 minutes of inactivity. To get around that I play some very low volume music in a loop from one of the computers.

Good, fairly powerful speakers
First off, let me say, I think itâs ridiculous, and very unhelpful, that Amazon lumps together reviews for several, very different, speakers. Please note, this is for the outdoor large variety.Unfortunately, there are very few reviews of this product to be found on the internet. I was a bit apprehensive to try them at the original $199 price point but I waited a bit and the price, for a while, came down to $85.I bought two to take advantage of the stereo pairing, and have been fairly pleased.I would recommend a placement near, but not up against, a wall to take advantage of the passive radiators in the back, and as close as possible to ear level for better treble response. The sound quality and power level are both pretty good, especially if you can get the pair for $170.I mostly use them outdoors, but they would definitely fill a good sized room with decent sound. Again, I would recommend bringing them up above floor level for better high end response.Pairing was easy and Bluetooth range seems very good.
