Real Avid, Master-Fit Wrench, Wrench, Stainless Steel, Free Float Barrel Nut
Wrench is double sided and allows you to install most free float barrel nuts without marring or damaging them.
This piece attaches to a standard 1/2″ torque wrench and you will have your flash hider installed in seconds. Sometimes it is all about having the right tool for the job.
Customers say
Customers find the wrench works well, with one mentioning it’s perfect for milspec barrel nuts. They praise its build quality and consider it good value for money. The fit receives mixed feedback, with one customer noting it’s 45 thou too narrow in the center.

Solid Tool
I bought this tool because it mentions float tube and I needed a bigger armorers wrench to swap barrels on a rifle with a White Oak float tube. Turns out this tool does not fit over the barrel nut for a White Oak, as it’s about 45 thou too narrow in the center. I really wanted to change this barrel out so I pulled out my Dremmel tool and did a bit of grinding in the center section to slightly widen the mouth of the tool and voila! It worked perfectly. I don’t blame the tool for this as it does not specify that it’s for this specific float tube, and the modification took me 10 mins or less. The amount of material I removed is so small that it in no way compromises the integrity of the tool and I had my old barrel off, new one on and torqued down to about 50 ft/lbs in no time and with no issues. And now I have a tool that I know will work for the next rebarreling in 4,000 rounds or so.

fits when others wont
This is the barrel nut wrench to buy. It is well-made and works with standard barrel nuts, too. It is for my YHM barrel nut without any problems. I’ve struggled with “mil-spec” wrenches and combination wrenches before, and I will never use them again. If there is a right tool for the job this is it.

Did the job well
First time building an rifle. This worked perfectly for a milspec barrel nut

Solid.
This crowsfoot style barrel nut wrench was perfect for my build. I was tightening a free float style barrel nut and the wrench I had previously rounded off at the nubs before I even got to the beginning torque. I ordered this one for its simplicity. It worked like a charm and had no slip when torquing the barrel nut. Could be cheaper, but I feel like you get what you pay for from Real Avid.
