What Shadowflux anti-shading technology can do for me ?
Shadowflux Anti-Shading technology helps maintain high power output even when the solar module is partially shaded, significantly boosting the total power generated. It also protects the module from damage that shading may cause.
What do I need to complete my off-grid solar power system ?
To set up an off-grid solar system, you need a solar panel, a charge controller to regulate current, and a battery to store power. Also, use adapter kit cables for connections and tray cables for the deep-cycle battery.
What does off-grid and on-grid mean ?
On-grid” means your solar equipment is connected to the electrical grid, while “off-grid” refers to systems that store generated power for later use and aren’t connected to the grid. Off-grid systems remain unaffected by grid blackouts.
What do the 12V/24V ratings on the solar panel title mean? Why do they differ from the values on the label or spec sheet?
The 12V/24V in product titles doesn’t reflect the actual voltage (Voc or Vmp) of the solar panels. Instead, it indicates the optimal voltage for the solar or energy storage system the panel suits. The panel’s voltage must exceed the system voltage.
How to choose a controller suitable for your ShadowFlux anti-shading solar panel?
To enhance power output in partial shading, the ShadowFlux solar panel’s voltage is optimized. This 200W panel has an open-circuit voltage of 36.5V. Controllers should have a max PV input of at least 40V, or 40V × N for series connections.

Fast Charging & User-Friendly â Excellent Solar Panel! âï¸â¡
The Renogy 200W ShadowFlux N-Type Solar Panel is a standout choice for anyone needing reliable and efficient off-grid power. One of the most impressive features is its quick charging capabilityâthanks to its 25% high efficiency, it delivers consistent power even in partial shade, making it ideal for RVs, marine use, and off-grid setups. The ease of use is another big win. Itâs lightweight yet durable, and installation is straightforward with pre-drilled holes that make mounting a breeze. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced with solar setups, this panel is hassle-free and highly effective.I’ve noticed faster battery charging times compared to other panels in similar conditions, and it performs well even on cloudy days. If you’re looking for a high-performance, easy-to-use solar panel for your energy needs, this one is a fantastic investment! Highly recommended.

Great panel, fast shipping
Product arrived fast abd in good shape, installed and work great, would 100 percent reccomend for anyone looking for a great 200w solar panel, cable leads are not as long as i expected but still works very well!
Amazon Customer –
Works great for a single panel
Works great! Hooked it up to a Bluetti AC180 and at one point was charging at 205W! Super excited how well it works when the clouds roll in or when positioned at a less than optimal sun angle. Still pushing a lot of power, I ran the power station down to 18%, hooked it up to the solar panel and within 4 hours it was above 60%, on a partially cloudy day, set at about 35 degrees! Not bad for 1x 200W panel, or I didnât think so. Solid construction, easy setup after I bought some adjustable supports.
Buyer –
Got only 60W out of this 120W panel at 1st for charging a 12V battery
I bought this panel together with a charge controller from the same company. When testing I found that less than 50% of the solar panel output was used for charging my 12V LI battery. 1st and 2nd level support didn’t help to solve the issue. Doing my own research I found that this panel has unusually high optimal output voltage of ~28V of which the PWM charge controller can use only about half (~14V for LI battery), hence the 50% power output cut to the battery. Other, cheaper panels have optimal voltage output of about 18V, which would allow higher percentage of solar power being used to charge a 12V battery. You’d need a more expensive MPPT controller, which does a kind of DC to DC power transformation to work with this panel efficiently for charging a 12V battery. It is disappointing that neither the product description mentions such limitations nor does the product support representatives seem to know such limitations and how to address them (buy a MPPT charge controller).

Best solar panels for the money
These panels are great, good build, well supported by Renogy, and an extremely good value. I have many and have yet to have any trouble with their performance, build quality, or workmanship. They have stood up to all weather conditions in the Midwest without the slightest grumble. The leads are a good length, the connectors are of a good quality as well. Extremely happy with these panels.[UPDATE April 2018]Still no complaints about these panels. I have three solar arrays and these occupy one of them. The other two are Renogy’s 24v 280 watt panels. All arrays are wired for 48v feeding three Midnite Solar 150 CC’s into a 24v LFE battery bank. These panels hold their own to their 24v 280w cousins. The only difference is the 24v 280’s begin producing usable power earlier in the day and hold out til sunset, while the 12v 100’s need a little more light before making usable power. Otherwise, they are still rockin solid, and going strong. ;)***Update 12/2018***These panels are still going strong… no complaints about that. However… for the money you spend on one of these, you could do much MUCH better. Prices of the 60 and 72 cell panels have fallen DRAMATICALLY these past few years. You can easily get a 350 watt panel on special these days for less than $200 each (trust me, I got 2800 watts of panels for about $1800 a couple weeks ago – shipping included).I love Renogy – don’t get me wrong – but as of the time of this update, they are not keeping up with the prices of the here and now. Renogy’s prices have not fallen in line with the rest of the bunch, and as such until they do, I won’t be buying any more Renogy panels anytime soon. These 100 watt panels are still going for about what they did a couple years ago, whilst the rest of the competition is now selling better items at an extremely reasonable price.Renogy, are you listening??As for the panels themselves, I’ve not had a single problem for the past 3-4 years. They are still putting out the same power now as when I first hooked these up. They’ve survived all sorts of weather with no sweat. Do I recommend these? YES. But only if Renogy begins dropping their prices. Otherwise, I’d have to recommend SolarWorld or Hanwha. I will still find use for the 9 100D Renogy panels I have, only they won’t be feeding my batteries at this point. The other panels will do that.Don’t get me wrong – these are very QUALITY panels. I’ve called their customer service and it was EXCELLENT. However for 2018/2019… these are a bit overpriced now and I’m surprised Renogy hasn’t kept up with the times. Then again, maybe 100w monos will not go under the $100 mark anytime soon? As for me, I prefer getting my 300+ watt panels elsewhere. If you are looking to start into solar, these are not a bad start by any means. If you want a lot of solar right away… look elsewhere. There are two solar and wind stores (one in MA and the other in AZ) that can accommodate you for anything more than 400w.

Good stuff.
I really like these panels. For my needs, they are worth the price.

These panels work well. I tested the outputs before installing on my Travel trailer. They have been working reliably since my purchase this past spring ( 2019)I made my own tilt brackets, but in the end did not save any money over what Renogy was selling theirs for. Tilting the panels makes a huge difference. You cant always park in optimal sunlight positions, so I tilt 2 for the morning sun and leave 2 flat for the noonday sun and my batteries are completely charged by 1-2 pm. I have 4 100w panels and the option to plug in another 2-100w ‘on the ground’ portable panels if the days are a little cloudy, with 4 Trojan T-105 golf cart batteries. We were out for 2 weeks at the end of July on the Sunshine Coast in BC and never ran our generator once. We ran our countertop ice cube maker with ease and could also run a 900w electric coffee machine. The panels didn’t take long to charge our batteries back up.One note, as I have learned and doesn’t really have much to do with the panels, but it’s the Puekert effect on Lead Acid batteries. The coffee machine sent my battery monitor into fits with Low Voltage Alarm. 900 watts is a large draw for lead acid, which they are not too happy with. They do bounce back rather quickly, just be aware. Took me a day or so to figure that out. However my batteries don’t suffer any ill effect, and the only way to mitigate that is to buy Lithium batteries, which are very expensive, but do not care about larger voltage draws. The solar panels are great.

Renogy has already got a great reputation, but living in the UK northeast we don’t get the best of weather so I was thinking how much I would get out of these panels. Since I mounted them to my van roof (my stealth camper van) it’s done nothing but rain and now its snowing lol. So with no sun at all in the sky I am still getting around 10-15 watts from the two panels, which is enough to run my interior lights or trickle charge the batteries. So maybe its a little to early for me to review but on a average day I am confident these panels will perform well. I think for the price you really can’t go wrong, I didn’t want to wait until summer to buy these in case the price goes up. I will review them again when I get some sunshine :)I think my advise is make sure the panels don’t have any shade on them and buy a good charge controller otherwise you wont get the best of of these panels.
