Exactly what I needed
I bought a Saris Bones ex3 rack a year ago and have not been able to use it for my dual suspension mountain bike. This adapter bar solves the problem. Easy to clamp on bike and very sturdy. Bike fits perfect on rack and is very stable, does not shake or move at all. saris products have a good reputation and the bike beam is no exception. Weâll made, great design and easy to use clamps. Glad i finally bought it.

Easy to use and well made.
I use these for my wife, two kids, and my mountain bikes on our saris rack. I have had zero problems using them. Intuitive and easy to use.

Works good for low step bikes.
Seems good strength. Holds an adult low step bike well. Design is simple to use. First time it seems awkward to get both sides on but goes on fine. On the bike we have, it only fits if you put it on the seat stand as it doesnât fit below the frame bars by the seat. So it is important to make sure the seat is tightened down very well. The carrier does have extra backup straps so it wonât be detrimental but wish it had more adjustment length and angle when installing.

Solidly built and works well
Used when hauling my daughterâs bike 600 miles to college and back, and it worked perfectly. It was a great value compared to Yakima or similar bars when I bought it in July 2019 ($33 then). Quite surprised how much more expensive it is now. I saw several questions about fit and size, so I took the attached photos with a ruler beside it. One shows it at fully extended length. The next shows it at its shortest. The last shows the inside dimension at the shortest length. It does not lock at any length, but you will secure it with the provided strap and your bungees anyway. Hope this helps.

A Must have for a step through bike to use on a bike rack
My wife’s bicycle is a step through frame, or what used to be called a “women’s” bike. When we travelled and put in on our trailer hitch mounted bike rack, it was difficult to get securely on the rack. Adding this adapter creates a “top rail” which now allows for the bike to be mounted horizontally on the rack, instead of on a diagonal. It takes about a minute to connect to the bike and is very secure

solidly built, highly functional
I purchased this item when purchasing the Saris Bones 2 rack in order to properly mount a ladies bicycle. The Saris Bike Beam is easy to use and well constructed. One minor challenge is that the end that supports the bike seat does not sit in the bike rack cradle very well as the “loop” the supports the bike seat is significantly wider than the main beam. This was overcome by threading the rack strap through the “loop”. Thus far, I have used this item 4 or 5 times and the bike has remained well-secured during each trip.

Is your bike frame too âfatâ?
I guess all these bars have the similar dimensions. The other one I know, from âEletricâ , is no different. The loops are too small for the Specialized Como e-bike and I you have to force them to the bikeâs frame.

Genuine original saris-quality beam attractively priced at SGD $35 where local Singapore pre-loved/used market is priced the same.
