After activating the brake, saw won’t reset. Bad design flaw.
I spent more on this saw than any other piece of woodworking equipment. I had a tables accident as a cabinet maker, and know the risks. It seemed like cheap insurance. I’ve raved about the accuracy, etc of this saw. BUT, I had an activation of the blade brake recently. Fine. I removed and replaced the blade and brake cartridge. According to their advertising and manual, that should be it. Nope. The arbor that holds the blade is in a housing that is hinged on the elevation mechanism. Since the activation, my blade does not reset firmly into place where it should. It slops up and down almost 3/8″. I’ve talked to support three times and tried their solutions repeatedly. No joy. This saw is not safe to use in this state. Until it’s fixed, it is a very expensive boat anchor ($2,875.00 boat anchor). It’s beautiful and worked OK for over a year. But it won’t reset, so it’s worthless to me. Very frustrating. Support guy told me the cabinet saw resets easily, but these are not so easy. Wish I’d found this out before buying it.
