Customers say

Customers find the watch band tool works well and is worth the price. The tool is simple to use and effectively removes links from metal bands. However, the build quality receives mixed feedback – while some consider it a high-quality tool, others describe it as cheaply constructed with a flimsy plastic shell and handle. Additionally, the plastic material is criticized for being like a toy and not strong enough.

Economical and simple tool that works.
I ordered this tool because of the prior reviews and the economical price. I did not know what to expect from the tool since I have never purchased a tool like it before. I purchased two Citizen watches and I needed to adjust their bands because the bands were to large for my wrist. I figured if it does not work, I’ll just take the watches to a jeweler and eat the cost. But having never adjusted a watch band ever, I was surprised at how easy and simple it was. I was able to adjust the bands in less than 10 minutes for the first watch. Once I figured out what I needed to do with the first watch, the second watch took less than two minutes. The trick to a successful adjustment, I feel, is taking your time and gently use the tool. If you encounter to much resistance pushing out the pin, it is more than likely the pin-bit isn’t properly aligned with the pin hole or the watch band isn’t aligned well on the device. Make sure were the pin exits from the opposite side of the band is aligned with the grove on the other side. Once you have a good alignment, the pin-bit is able to remove the pins that bind the band segments quickly and with no force. I was able to gently remove them and quickly. The tool is made of cheap plastic, but unless one plans to adjust many watches, its sufficient to get the pins out without much fuss. I gave it five stars because of how economical it was. I’ll probably won’t have any more use for it unless I decided not to keep a watch, but its not likely.

    SE JT6305A Watch Link Remover
The design of this product “should” allow you to successfully remove links from metal watch bands. However, I cannot recommend it for a several reasons. To begin with, the product is blue as you can see from its picture on the website. However, your fingers will also become quite blue as you attempt to use it. Whatever dye the manufacturer applied to make the blue coloring comes off quite readily on your hands. Secondly, there are no instructions whatsoever as to how to use the product. Looking at it you’d get the impression that all you have to do is align the pins in the watchband with the puncher at the end of the screw type of handle and then turn the handle clockwise to push the pins out. But, this can get you into trouble if you don’t push the pins from the correct side of the band. I ultimately had to go online and Google “Directions for removing links from metal watch bands” to learn the true way to use this product. This produced several “U-Tube” websites that led insight into the process. Turns out that, unbeknown to me, there are arrows on the inside of the watch band and that you are supposed to push the pins in the direction of the arrows. Finally, the product I was sent had a slight crack along the underside that became more and more pronounced as I used it. Bottom line is, the product will work if you know how to use it and it isn’t defective as mine was, but it seems as though there might be a better device available than this one.

    Amazing product and fantastic value!
This product is extremely easy to use, and saved me so much money! Usually I pay around $15 a watch to have a few links removed. With this item, I paid less than $5 and I am able to re-size as many watches as I need. Although the construction may appear cheap, it really is simple to use, and relatively sturdy. Links take about 3 seconds to remove, and you can even use the back end to push links back in.I would highly recommend this product to beginners who buy middle priced watches ($100-$500) and aren’t connoisseurs of watches. It’s an amazing value, and really simple to use. I watched a video online (the person actually had this exact link remover), and it shows you exactly what you need to do, step by step. To sum it up, its as easy as seeing which way the arrows point on the link, and then placing the watch on the remover. In addition to the great function and value, this item also came with extra link removers! I haven’t had to use any extra yet, but its nice that they throw it in. They put them in a little plastic bag which I also conveniently store my removed links in. If anyone was wondering, I used this on my Invicta Men’s 7043 Signature Collection Pro Diver Automatic Watch. You can see the review for that watch on that product page.If you have any comments feel free to leave them, if my review was helpful, please let me know!

Removing links from watch bracelets can be time consuming and fiddly. Not anymore with this handy little device which does the job for you.Once you have accurately lined up the device’s pin mechanism with the pins in your bracelet, it really is a sinch. Why pay a jeweller up to a pound a link to remove them for you when this does it for you?
