Poorly made, cause major radio interference (EMF)
I was very excited to get these and replace my halogen bulbs.Unfortunately when I went to install the 2nd one I realized they had not bonded the heat sink to the bulb. This is a major problem since you have to use the heatsink as a handle to twist the bulb into place. And it also appears to be used to cap the electronics… removing the heat sink you can see all the wiring.Still, I’m somewhat excited so I think – I’ll just super-glue it back on and then install it once it sets.First night of testing – I was very pleased with the output. The light is nice and bright, and the whiter color (I think) makes it easier to see the road.2nd day of testing – I’m driving to work. Now I have the radio on (the first night the kids were with me so it was off so we could talk) and I can’t figure out why there is so much static this morning. Then I realize it could be the bulbs. Its sunrise so I manually turn off the lights (I had just installed LED headlights and foglights from Sealight) and INSTANTLY the static goes away. Turn the lights on, static returns. I repeated this several times to make sure its not coincidental timing.I’m an engineer working for a very large automotive supplier. We do EMF (Electro Magnetic Frequency) testing on all our components to make sure they don’t put out magnetic waves that interfere with the other car electronics.Clearly Sealight did not bother with this step.Clearly their LED lights put out a significant EMF pattern… they are a good distance from the radio and its causing issues. What other engine electronics are being affected???I will be removing these bulbs tonight and sending them back.NOTE: This was on a 2012 F150 with the 3.5L Ecoboost engine.

Works well in my 2014 Ford Fusion as fog lights. The Sealight H11 bulbs should only be used as fog light as they are not as bright as OEM H11 incandescent bulbs which are 1550 lumens each (vs. “1200 lumens” each for Sealight?). On the flip side, since they aren’t overly bright like some H11 LED headlights, they’re perfect as fog lights without blinding oncoming drivers.Looks a bit yellowish compared to my 6000K KilaKila headlights, the Sealight should be in the range of 5000-5500K. Nonetheless, it is a close enough match for LED headlights. The lights are fanless and relatively compact, similar to size of H11 incandescent.

I bought these LEDs to replace the stock halogen bulbs in the fog lights in my 2007 Ford Escape.Build quality of both the bulbs and their wiring harnesses is excellent. The fanless heat sinks are large and should keep the bulbs cool, even in the enclosed bumper space.They were easy to install and a perfect fit in the Ford fog light housings. However, the bulbsâ O-rings required a thin smear of silicone grease before the bulbs would seat well enough to lock into place.The bulbs are – by eye – at least twice as bright as the stock halogens. The 6000k color is clear white and makes reflective surfaces âpopâ. Overall, a great upgrade.
