They are specialists in the fields of chemistry, engineering, physics, meteorology, botany and architecture. “Solar Energy Research” is the result of a symposium on solar energy organized by the University of Wisconsin and sponsored by the National Science Foundation. The informal talks presented at this symposium and the discussions and suggestions which followed them were the genesis of Solar Energy Research. Supplementary material was obtained from experts in various parts of the world who had been unable to attend the symposium.
