A great and timely read!
I enjoyed this book very much. We have always been very aware of screen time. We have a ton of kids, but as many of them have turned into teenagers who drive and have phones this hits different. We need to be aware. We need to remember family time is precious. It doesnât have to be rules, but rhythms. Loved it!

Unplug and reconnect
The Screen-Free Family felt like it was written for me, a busy parent craving more connection and less screen stress. The authorâs warm, practical advice and real-life stories made me feel understood, not judged. With easy-to-apply tips and creative activity ideas, this book gave me hope and a clear path to a calmer, more connected home, one small step at a time.

Must read!
I think this is something all children should implement in their lives. Most of us adults too… We all have way to much screen time per day and, as this book points out, it interferes with our family connections. This book offers plenty of practical advice to make the transition to less screen time easier and more manageable for your kids.

Less rushing, fewer arguments about screen time, and more actual connection.
This is a serious wake-up call for families who spend too much time glued to their devices. I really liked her 7-day reset plan – it was practical and didnât feel preachy. Now we’re having regular device-free breakfasts and going for short evening walks together (when we can), which means less rushing, fewer arguments about screen time, and more actual connection. As Reck explains, it isn’t about strict rules – it’s about slowing down and being more present.

Finally, a Book That Understands Real Life
As a grandmother, Iâve seen how screens pull families apart. This book isnât about banning everything â itâs about bringing people back together. I liked how gentle the tone was. It gave small, realistic steps. I even shared it with my niece, who said it helped her get her son to join them for dinner without his phone!

Unplug and enjoy
As a parent we all have those moments where you could just consider unplugging and throwing out all your devices. They really just suck all of us in and that encourages behavior issues as well as procrastination. This book obviously written by a parent does a great job in identifying and putting into practice strategies to help “wean” our children off of screens.

Finally helpful
Been struggling with my kids and screen time forever. This book actually gives you real steps instead of just saying “less screens.” The 7-day reset thing worked better than I thought it would. My house isn’t perfect but way less fighting about tablets now. Good for parents who need actual solutions not lectures.

A very useful book, full of valuable strategies, educational suggestions that guide the parent who wants to limit the use of technology at home in a healthy and conscious way, without stress and above all without guilt. A book that unites the family, to rediscover and strengthen socialization and the relationship with children. A book that shows that change can happen without too much effort.

I really like this book. The author takes a realistic and practical approach to a topic that affects almost all families these days. I really enjoyed that the author did not impose any shame on the topic or suggest a quick fix. The section slips ups was well done and approaches the idea that even the best performing families are going to have times when they get off schedule and old habits resurface. The section on digital literacy was also pragmatic and helpful. This book had meaningful suggestions on lasting strategies you can employ with your kids to manage their digital lives, great book.

It helped me feel less overwhelmed about cutting back on screens at home. The tips were simple and actually doable, even with a busy schedule and it reminded me how nice it is to just play or talk with my nieces without distractions. I didn’t feel judged, just gently guided
