Introducing the Hydra Alien Mini Ultimate Kit *Limited edition color options are available while supplies last*
Inspired by the design aesthetics of the Hydra Arm, this compact shock-absorbing arm sets a new standard for lightweight car mounting systems.
This miniature arm is compatible with smaller camera systems such as the DJI Action 3/4, DJI Pocket 3, Insta360 X4/X3, and any other system that weighs up to 1.32lbs including Smartphones with our Khronos Ecosystem.
The Hydraulic Damping System utilizes automotive-grade oil imported from the US for track-level performance and is easy for users to add additional oil if needed.
Included with the kit is an extender arm which is adjustable on both axes, allowing users to better position the arm for various configurations and vehicle placements.
Also included is a Handle which can be used when using the arm handheld. This configuration is especially useful when running or filming on uneven terrain.
The included Electronic Suction Cup features a battery powered suction cup that has the ability to monitor real time pressure and automatically increase suction in the event of a leak.
Featuring a built-in 2000mAh battery, it can run for over 14 hours continuously under normal conditions. The battery also supports a 5V/1A USB-C external power supply input, allowing for even longer uninterrupted shooting via additional power sources.

Tilta quality and useful accessories!
Tilta products are first rate, in my opinion. This is not different. It comes with everything you need and more, included a really nice fitted case. The powered suction cup is a game changer and gives you a sense of security for your equipment.

The Tilta Hydra Alien Mini is a nice and useful kit that sports an aerodynamic design and solid quality in a compact form factor. It’s not perfect, but it performs far better than the MOVmax Blade Arm.Strong points:- Compact design- Aerodynamic design (excluding the dampened head).- Actually works as advertised, for the most part, contrary to the MOVmax Blade Arm which failed me entirely.- Calibration is very intuitive and convenient.- While it looks a little toy-ish on its own, it looks legit when installed on a vehicle, and is much more understated than the MOVmax Blade Arm, which attracts more attention).Weak points:- The rod clamp is too small for motorcycles, I had to purchase a crossbar to fit it to my bike’s handlebars (the MOVmax Blade Arm has a more versatile clamp that works out of the box).- The geometry is based on a horizontal suspension arm, which is inherently weak because it amplifies micro-vibrations which the dampened head struggles to mitigate (a vertical design would be far superior for use on motorcycles).- Somehow the dampened head doesn’t sit entirely straight when installed on the arm.Context of use:I have purchased the Alien Mini to use on motorcycles, both to record scenery as I ride and have others record me as I ride. The micro vibrations that my Harley Davidson Sportster S generates at idle fail to be mitigated by the dampened head: they introduce some quaint movement in the video, too small to notice on a smartphone screen but noticeable on a laptop. I have to admit the suspension on the Sportster S is very, very firm, so it’s an extreme test for the Alien Mini, and it manages to mitigate all but the most harsh road unevenness (rail crossings, bridge gaps).Would I buy again:Yes, after trying out and returning the MOVmax Blade Arm, I purchased the Tilta Hydra Alien Mini and am satisfied. It won’t deliver 100% perfect shots, but it will yield a lot more good footage (in my experience it goes from few seconds of stable footage on the MOVmax to mostly stable footage with a hiccup occasionally and some faint jello at idle that isn’t noticeable on phones).

Great product with TERRIBLE product support and instructions
Ok, this is going to be a weird review. Here’s the positive side: once you get the unit together and figure it out, it works great. Solid build, great functionality, smooth footage, everything.However, getting it put together can be really terrible. There are zero instructions for the Hydra Alien Mini Master Kit on the Tilta website – zero. And there are no good images to go by. And, in spite of there being a QR code to download the product manual, there isn’t actually a product manual on the company’s website. HUGE fail. Seriously. It’s such a shame for what is potentially a great product. Tilta, get your act together and give us some instructions and a video showing us how to actually use your product.I’m also not sure why the Ultimate kit comes with the handgrip but no shock mount, and the Master kit comes with the shock mount and no handgrip. Give me a package with everything so I don’t have to order them separately. That’s more of a quibble than a negative.

Iâm a consumer and this is meh. Looks cool but eh.
3-Stars because cost to value. If youâre not out here doing wheelies or taking the scenic off-road route to work, you probably donât need this. Your Osmo Pocket 3 can handle a little shake just fine.Sure, the auto suction is cool (insert your own joke here), and yeah, you could mount other things on itâbut youâre limited by weight. So unless your dream rig is a GoPro with delusions of grandeur, you might be overpaying for a shock and an okay suck.

J’avais installé ce produit sur un top case alu d’une moto. En ce qui concerne la ventouse c’était top,vraiment je recommande. Par contre l’amortissement n’était pas du tout convaincant, voir film en pièce jointe. J’ai donc renvoyé le produit. Tilta d’une manière très professionnelle m’a recontacté pour m’expliquer que ce produit n’est effectivement pas fait pour les 2 roues et qu’ils ont développé un produit spécial qui comporte une nacelle permettant d’amortir les chocs.
