Great Product
This works tremendously. Has enough weight to provide the right striping look once you add the dry sand. Grab a funnel and let the sand dry as much as possible to make that process easier. Thatâs the most challenging part of it. Itâs simple enough to install and does not disappoint. I am not a lawn care professional and have a busy demanding job away from it. The results you see are achievable with proper care and tools like this.

Works Great!!!
Works great. Created the baseball striping look as advertised. Highly recommend. Fits on my standard 21 inch Honda push mower without a problem. Still able to use the bagging system with the striper on back.

Easy to install, works great, BUT…
Easy to install, works like a charm.Lays beautiful stripes and as my wife says âit makes the yard look like a baseball field!â, BUT if youâre like me and like to mow your lawn short, and have to makes sharp turns, the bar in the suggested position is too low and youâll end up pivoting on the bar which either wonât allow you to turn, will put unnecessary stress on the plastic connectors, or worst of all-will gouge your lawn! This can be solved by raising your mower or adjusting the bar to stick out from the back rather than straight down as mandated in the instructions. Moving the bar, however, pushes the roller back and depending on your stride, may put it under your feet as it did for me (6â3â long strides). I raised my mower and will keep my lawn a little longer than I care to this year but it will be beautifully striped!Iâve also seen other comments on needing special sand to fill the roller, and thats just not the case. I got a 50lb bag of play sand from the hardware store, which is admittedly drier and finer grain than quarry sand would be, but the fill opening on the roller is roughly 3/8â and may not take rocks, but itâll take any sand you might find.Very happy with this, would recommend, just takes some fiddling with to find the best position for optimum functionality

Show the neighbors how itâs done
Right now, if it holds up, it is awesome. My grass isnât even all up yet. May 9th here. I only have about 7500 square feet. I do the whole yard perimeter first and then go with the roller. Very easy on and off. For the sand I used pool filter sand. Nice and dry and the roller was filled in about 5 minutes. Worth the extra money to me. I always change the pattern when I mow. Donât be discouraged if at first mow you donât get the results you wanted. Itâs all about reflecting the sunlight. Try different patterns. Lot of people in my cal de sack have professionals do their lawns. Iâm going to show them them how itâs really done. Almost forgot. It turns quite easily. Just take your time.

Poor design
It did stripe my lawn well, but the 1 star comments are accurate. Not sure where the 5 stars are coming from. The connection is horrible and not easy to get on or off. The connection is a metal piece over plastic. This tore out after 1 season. I was able to rig it up with a bolt, nut and couple washers and got another half season out of it, but it is destined to break. It’s just plastic. The sad part is, I don’t believe it would be a difficult design change to fix this. I also agree with others, getting the sand in is a long PITA process and it does add about 20-30lbs. You’re not getting much help from self propelled mower at that weight. Still I took at as more exercise while cutting the grass and liked my stripes for the short time they lasted.

Best money ever spent!
I will say if you have to back up it gets kinda caught up maybe itâs just my type of mower but this thing is freaking awesome! My yard looks like Wrigley field with this thing! Very durable and will say you will want to fill it up with sand or possibly cement so it has some good weight!

Works decently on thick grass, but for the price, I think it could be better.
Works decently on thick grass, but for the price, I think it could be better.Pros:Works well on thick grass. You can cut different patterns.Attaches to most push mowers.Does not have to be used at all times on the mower. It can be removed and only used as needed.Cons:Expensive for what it is.Was not that easy to put together.Does not work well on all grass types, including thinner grass.Stripes are usually visible for just a couple days.I found you must go over each stripe two times, to get the bending of the grass, so you are basically mowing your lawn two times.Very hard to push if you do not have a self propelled mower.Hard to take on and off. I must flip my mower up to take it off or install it. The process takes about 5 minutes and is not easy. It could be just my particular mower though. Most of it is made of plastic and I feel it will not hold up for a long period of time.Final Thoughts:I had made a DIY one of these and was using it for a the past few years. It cost me just a couple dollars to make and it worked almost identical to this product. My DIY one was not that easy to install or remove, so I ordered this figuring it would do a better job and would be easier to use. Well this product does work slightly better than my DIY one, but I still need to go over each section two times and it is not easy to install or remove it as needed. This product does work nicely on thick grass, creating stripes that are visible for a couple days, but keep in mind, it does not work well on all grass including thinner grass. Also, the instruction manual is correct about finding the right angle to mow your yard, if you want it visible from the street. From the get go, you must mow your yard several times in order to determine what angle or striping pattern will work best for your yard.If you are looking at purchasing this thinking it will make your lawn look just like a professional golf course and will be easy to install and use, then I would not recommend it. However, if you can afford it, will be using it on thick grass only, and are simply trying to make your yard look nicer than the neighbors, then I would recommend it.

Love this product. Waited for it to come in since it is always sold out. So easy to install on any lawnmower. I use it every time I cut the grass. Strips turn out amazing. I did raise my lawnmower up to leave the lawn nice and long so the strips really are defined. Makes my lawn stand out from all others on the street. Also helps make the bad spots in my lawn look good again. Highly recommend this simple product to anyone that loves a professional looking lawn.

Enjoy the Mow….

best lawn in the neighborhood now! One item I don’t care for is the plug is of some mediocre plastic… I could see this stripping if not careful. Id much prefer metal plug.works well with the mower. Bit harder to navigate the lawn, especially having to pull backwards, but well worth the patterns this makes!
